Default Sheboygan Thread

Since we are kinda stuck half way between Green Bay and Milwaukee, I though I'd start a thread up for Sheboygan, WI. Everyone from the Sheboygan area post up here to keep updated on local events or keep in touch with the local guys.....

Eventually I would like to set up a meet/cruise here in Sheboygan like we did last fall. Still in the very early stages of planning at this time though. Stay tuned for more info.

On May 28th and 29th there will be a Time/Speed/Distance rally and Super Rallycross event organized by WAG (Wisconsin Autosports Group) at Gravity Park just north of Chilton, WI. I have never attended this event in the past but sounds like a great time. I know I plan to enter the TSD rally and/or spectate at the super Rallycross event. For more details see their website at:

http://www.w-a-g.org/events/rallycross/2011/info.htm

I think this would make for a cool meet for all you Subaru guys out there.

Just wondering where you all go to get work done on your cars? Any local Subie shops around here? Or do you all just do it your self? Well if any of you need work done on your cars feel free to pm me. Anything from minor maintenance to just about any performance upgrade. I got a nice little garage/shop here at my house with just about all the tools need! Just looking to make some extra cash tell I find a job and help others out. Also meet new people since I am new to the area!

I usually try to do the usual maintenance and cosmetic stuff myself, but so far I haven't had any major issues that required a garage mechanic.

I know that the previous owner used to take it to Import Minded in Plymouth to have work done. I've also heard from a few very reputable sources that Meyer Import in Sheboygan Falls does excellent work.

I have taken my wagon to Lakeland for some recall items that were never dealt with by the previous owner. Good service from my experience, but I have heard a few things from others that have dealt with them in the past....

I am looking for a good body shop that can fix my hood. The guy I bought the car from "tapped" a deer with it before I bought it. Ended up with a small dent in the front lip of the hood and blew out the grille. I've already fixed the grill, but the dent in the hood irritates me... Most likely the whole hood would need to be resprayed. If anyone knows a shop that they have done business with and does quality work let me know.

Or if anyone has a 02-03 bugeye wrx hood they would be willing to part with that would be better....

I'm still putting together a route for an upcoming cruse / meet here in Sheboygan. I was thinking the Greenbush / Glenbulah / Elkhart Lake area. Maybe a lap around the original Elkhart Lake road course from 1952???

Any ideas / suggestions you guys might have let me know.
