Default Electric MINI Cooper for sale in Sam's Club Catalog

Electric MINI Cooper for sale in Sam's Club Catalog

http://jalopnik.com/cars/alternative...log-329836.php

Quote:
Hybrid Technologies - who make electric, not hybrid vehicles - are offering their electric Mini on the cover of the new Sam's Club holiday catalog. While the diminutive $65,000 car would make a great stocking stuffer, we're not sure how many Jumbo Family Size packs of discount Sam's Club brand stockings you could fit into it. The Lithium-Ion powered Mini justifies its huge price tag by hitting 60mph in under 5 seconds, going on to a top speed of 90mph and a maximum range of 100 miles, although presumably not when loaded down with dozens of cases of Sam's Club brand soda. No word on when Sam's Club brand servers will be available.

NO you idiots STS isn't for AutoX it's for the next mission to complete the ISS!

Note STS-128 - this is scheduled to be the next to final mission where they deliver the foosball table built by Germany and the rice cooker from China. And fix the solar panels that some martian kid knocked out of alignment when they were playing interstellar martian baseball.

I applaud their effort but that sounds like a really bad deal. 65k and only 100 miles on a charge . It is cool that it is a fast no emissions vehicle but where the heck are you going to take it. Hopefully no more than 100 miles away.

My daily commute is ~ 50 miles round trip. Seems like a perfect car to me. The price just needs to come down a bit more, and then it could be economically practical.

The latest and greatest of performance, British style and eco technology; an all electric Mini Cooper is ready for immediate delivery. Start your engine as the electric vehicle revolution begins with the Mini Cooper all electric.

Designed to provide maximum performance, high speeds capable of reaching over 90 miles per hour and 0-60 in under 5 seconds, this truly is a performance sports car that has been developed to use a highly advanced eco drive system produced by Hybrid Technologies.

The lithium-powered (B.E.V.) electric drive system was originally produced by Hybrid Technologies for NASA's Kennedy Space Center and stands on the leading edge of advanced electric drive production vehicles.

The L-MINI COOPER can perform for more than 100 miles on a single charge (110v or 220v). Its top speed hits 90 mph, making it one of the fastest electric vehicles on the market!

Some of the most respected networks and highly rated television shows have featured this all-lithium car. Some notable examples: FORBES featured The L-MINI COOPER as well as POPULAR MECHANICS at its debut to the automotive industry last year.
Jalopink should have grabbed more than just motoringfiles. head add.

0-60 in under 5 is pretty impressive. Imagine revving someone at the stoplight.
