That thing looks the same size as a Baja; how can it haul 2000 lbs? And I'll bet that 260 miles is empty not loaded. For 10k less, you can get an F150 instead

Not a bad idea but too expensive. I wonder if there are any government incentives for that?

I'd like to see their claims verified by a third party. Snake oil salesmen seem to love the EV market.

The Zebra batteries are the real deal, Edison and Smith use them for their electric delivery trucks, but they also have some serious limitations -- like they have to stay hot enough to keep the sodium liquid. If you charge it then let it sit too long, the battery "freezes" and is dead until you heat it up again.

Maybe they will be able to get their dealership franchise back when this fails.

It would be great if they sold the gasoline version for $10k.
Since this is an EV, i guess it doesn't need to be brought up to the US standards for safety, lights etc.... |

I think you're thinking of s low speed NEV (N = neighborhood). This isn't one of those, and will have to meet FMVSS. Daunting prospect for a dealership to get it certified on their own.
