Default Precision PTE Turbo Results Thread

I'm seeing a lot of great results from the PTE turbos, so I figured a thread like this would be a good place to combine them all, and also open it up for discussion as well (currently spilling over multiple PPB and build threads).

Please start by making a post following the normal PPB template. Include plots, time slips, photos, videos, and links to your build threads if you would like. Whatever works for getting all the info about the setup and the results.

Here is the plot:

My last setup was a 20G XTR that made about 100WHP less than this. It was a really fun setup, but this completely blows it away! The top end of the powerband is so much stronger. It just pulls, and pulls! Nuke has been tuning in the 27-29psi range and it's been making 560-580WHP on Virtual Dyno. It is a lot of fun!

It does spool later than the 20G XTR (obviously), but the low end powerband really isn't that bad. I think it's perfectly fine for street driven, daily use. You can't mash the pedal in a high gear, but it feels plenty peppy just getting up to speed. It hits 20psi by around 4k rpm's with the 07+ STI 4th gear. A little later in 3rd.

Dang. I totally missed that. I think it must have been because "PTE" wasn't in the title, or I just suck at searching. I'm open to input on which thread to keep around. If people want this thread, I am happy to compile a list for the second post. Otherwise I can just post in the other thread.

Pte has really come a long way. I remember in my DSM days that they were bearing killers. It's good to see then get qc under control

Yeah, those JTPerry and more I'm sure. That was pretty much just the first page. I need to reformat the list to have 1/4 mile info as well.

Don't forget Layvon's 6262. I think his thread is 2004 STI EFR 7670. He obviously did not use the BW turbo. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2268987

I think this is going to be the closest:

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2411326

It's a 5858 with a Fobia rotated setup, but it's a single scroll v-band.

Very impressive for stock heads/cams. It would be interesting to see how a twin scroll manifold and a ball bearing turbo would increase area under the curve. Regardless 10.7 @ 130 is moving!

Sorry, didn't see any of those yet.

Here's the updated list so far. Starting to get into the older posts that don't have all the info in the first post so it's a bit harder...

I looked at the first page and the last page and I didn't see anything except a parts list. Link me to a post with power, torque, boost, 1/4 mile, etc.

Jr, I need to know more about how you all ran the PTE with the 35R housing, can you share?[/quote]

It is a 35r cartridge with PTE billet compressor wheel. I am not sure but its either the 62 or 64 wheel. IT has a 1.06 hot side.

It is on my old wagon now, makes 500whp on dynojet on 93octane. Trapped 129mph like that as well
