How did you end up with a PTE over a Garrett, and what has your experience been like since you have local cars to compare it too?

Something different. Everyone has a 35r or 6262/6266. We decided to go with a 5858 to see if we can get it to respond like a 30r. It's slightly laggier than a 30r but as you can see, the results surprised us all

I think it's a nice turbo. Power is pretty linear vs insane torque. Feels good and works great

Also, the journal bearing PTE aren't priced bad at all

Thanks Fujik, it was some of your words mixed with THE STIGs words/guidance that got me there.

Nuke, Thanks for posting the vids.

Tires and clutch setup?

Hopefully I'm not being a pest. Just got my 30r setup together and saving some teething issues. I'm nearly convinced the short geared 6mt is the devil. I've tried launching in both 1st and 2nd and a 1.8x is the best I've gotten on my bfg kdw2. This is on the two step building 8-10psi at 4k. I blow em off and fall flat shifting to fifth.

I have other issues I'm working out with boosting over 21psi but the car runs good. It's definitely faster than I am. 1.86 60', 7.87 @ 89 1/8 and 12.12 @ 115 is my quickest pass to date. I wanna share your company in the tens with my full weight pig.

With the Precision billet turbo I do feel some lag but it not extreme. I dont have the graph at this time and only I will be the only one to see it.
