It's about time I got this done!

Cosworth gaskets finally in. Cometics were blown on both sides. Took only about 27psi.

Can't wait to get it back in and turn up the boost.

By far my favorite build on here. Looking forward to the future videos once the engine is back in. Whats your target boost with the new cosworth gasket?

Thanks! Probably going to see what the s300 83-75 can do at 32 pounds? It already starts falling down at around 27 pounds at 7000 ish rpm I think. But would be cool to see how much torque 32 psi gives me haha

While I was down at MPS with the motor, brought down my friends Miata to have tuned again with his Vi-Pec V88. Dom worked his magic and the engine is super smooth!

Did you resurface the heads and the block with the new gaskets?? Also did you use the copper spray as well?

And last update before bed. Picked up my stoptech trophy 6 piston bbk for the front.

Can't wait to test these babies out. Anyone have hook ups for PFC brake pads? Probably going to try out the PFC 08 pads.

Nope, just checked for straightness, cleaned them and put it all back together. Should be good for up to 35-37psi. After that going to need to o-ring the block I guess.

Finally got some free time from work this weekend (long weekend in Canada). Was on vacation 2 weeks ago in Hawaii so last week was busy.

Finished off the extended studs on the driver side and got the brakes in. Prepping for the track day at the Ridge Motorsports Park with Turn 2 Lapping on August 16.

Stock vs st60

Passenger side in

Clearance issue with backing plates... had to do some bending

The money shot

Waiting on my rear shocks to come back from KW this week. After that I can test out these brakes and get some street tuning done.

Fun day at the ridge! Was going so fast down the straight during the open session that the welds on my splitter cracked off... talk about downforce. Two people could stand on it and it wouldn't even break.

Had some time to do some work on the car today. Been meaning to put AC back in the car but the downpipe needed to be modified so I can get more clearance for the AC lines.

Tig welding underneath a car sucks. Especially when no one is there to help you hold things while you tack weld... oh well!

Chopped up and moved

Was thinking of starting it up like this but it got late haha

Tacked together

Weld on flex

Butt weld

Finished!!

I used solar flux this time around instead of back purging with argon. The results are pretty good! Forgot to take pictures of inside.

Track video looks like so much fun! I can't wait for the day..

Did you know how to weld prior to making your splitter and what not or are you just learning as you go? The downpipe looks good!

So much respect for you building this thing yourself from the ground up! Awesome car!
Also I liked watching the things on your keys lay out almost horizontal in corners haha, gives a good sense of how much lateral g's youre generating

Didn't know at all but had a friend that did so I got to pick his brain a bit. Rest was all reading online, watching some videos then learning myself with practice. Only reason I decided to learn was because I thought to myself why pay someone like $1000 for labour to build it when I can get a cheap welder for like $600-700 and build it myself. Plus I can use it for other projects.
