Default Timing Belt needed - any EJ motor, used preferable

Guess I was too thorough when I cleaned my garage last month. I threw out the junk timing belt I use to hold the cam pulley's when I unscrew them. Anyone local have one kicking around? It can be tattered for all I care.

Thanks,
Fitz

mark: i've got an old timing belt, although it has a few vicegrip chips in it (also used it to hold my cam pulleys, but that didnt work).

i've got the Cobb cam pulley tool if you're interested? oughta work with the heads you've got.

I will await my junk-kick with baited breath . If it was the salesman I think it was, you should have given him crap for driving his 06 TR into a solid immoible object about 3 months after buying it .

Fitz, I pull a cam cap or two and slip folded paper under them to hold the cam in place. Works way better than vice grips and an old belt. Or you can use Teds method. Drill out the bolts with a 1/4" bit. Once the head of the bolt is off you can remove the gear. The rest of the bolt will come out by hand.

I think it is only worse when she ends up being faster than you, until then it is quality family time!
