That 1/8 shot is ridiculous. Is it even humanly possible to go slower than that?!

Thanxs

I dunno, i never tryed to go lower but i think with a good driver- the right corner and a good day with calm hand i can go lower but dont think it makes any sense. I mean not photog all think the car is shoped in with PS.

On a car that passes parallel to me i think i can do 1/5 easy but a drifting car is another thing.

I wish I could get to the track more often so I can practice panning. Those shots are great!

This. Most HDR's just get killed by way too much tone mapping.

I just think it's an easy way to cover up a bad photo. I'm not saying that all of them are bad but it seems like it's just a way out for a lot of people.

It isnt at all but i pay everithing out of my pocket I love to do roadtrips and all but in most situations i need to take friday and monday off because we need to drive at lease 700miles one way.
For a weekend like GATEBIL i payed something like 1400usd and without doing party or things like that. Just Hotel-Flight-Carrent and something to eat.

But next year i will be payed to cover the KingOfEurope Drift Series all around europe so i have some more cash for a new lens Or a new body....

Lol.You can use HDR to get some great shots and not even know its a HDR its just how far you want to take it,i went crazy and wanted to see how far it can go,If it was for a client i would do so many different shots and let them choose what is best for them.

I'd prefer a lower perspective. Bring the car away from the fence if you want more blur/separation. Exposure/color looks spot on.

Yeah I completely agree. I didn't have the room to get the separation I wanted and be able to zoom enough to achieve enough background blur. We drove to the location and the big parking lot was closed. Yes, I said the PARKING LOT was closed. (Due to line painting)

Anyway, there was a little side lot that I had to work with. Here are some more. I'm actually happy with these.

Canon 550d/ 55-250mm w/ CP filter

ISO- 400
Focal length- 123mm
Aperture f/5.0
Shutter speed- 1/125s

I really like this one!

I love the "in motion" shots, great work! For a 4 second exposure but not much movement in the trees, I assume you were crawling along at just a few MPH? I'm amazed everything else stayed so steady in the shot. Any pointers on technique here? Thanks for sharing

*edit*
Or am I a complete dope and there's just Photoshop motion blur?

Nope, he's using a rig/boom setup that holds the camera onto the car. Then the car is pushed along slowly (to reduce any shaking/vibration) and an extra long shutter speed is used. The rig is then removed in post processing.

I would love to mess around with a rig set up. I don't know if I have the skills to edit it out of the pucture though.

Anybody know where I can get custom watermarks made? I would like to start using one. I know I don't really need one but I like creating stuff.
