Default Columbus Sat. autox pics

here you go guys...
http://communities.msn.com/Natescarp...otoalbums.msnw
some of the pictures aren't too hot because my roommate who was taking them had trouble getting the cars in the picture for some reason. Anyway, most of the Subaru pictures are toward the end so if that's all you're interested in then maybe start from the end.

Nice meeting everyone BTW. My driving pretty much sucks. The guy in the champaign colored RS was doing 36 second times consistently and the wagon got down there at the end but my best time was 38.1, but my first time

hopefully there will be more chances to meet up.

It was great meeting al of you guys today....good showing at the autox as well. And thanks for the ride today, Nate....your car looks bitchen' with those Euro spec wheels.

Too bad I'm only gonna be here for a few more weeks....but at least I get to take more tread off of my '92's!

I'll try to drop by early tommorrow and register. The course looked like way too much fun to be just a co pilot!

Hey, it was great to meet all of you on Saturday and good to see Rob again. I was surprised and happy to see so many Subies around.

I was equally surprised that so many of them are owned by Honda engineers! Ha ha! Engineers know great cars, right?

Rob and Narcotix, how did you guys run on Sunday? Fun? Soooo tempting to take the OBS out there.

When I was giving my baby a bath (my car...not my fiancee...get your minds out of the gutter fellas...ha!) I was thinking about all of your Subies doing controlled slides on the wet tarmac.

Yeah, Narcotix, any woman who puts up with a man's car obsession is a keeper in my book. Tis one of the reasons mine has a diamond ring on her finger.

Post

It was cool to see all the suby guys this weekend, I had a great time.
Sunday was unbelievable, our first few runs were wet enough to make it pretty interesting. But they changed the running order on us so we had to run in the second group and the majority of the standing water was gone, dangit.

We were really hoping to show the other people in STS the beauty of all wheel drive. But the last run was almost dry and the guy in the Black maxima pulled off a scorcher, he had something like 34.04 sec.

I was happy with my times tho, my last run was about a 35.5 and I finally beat my buddy in his 2.5rs

Well I hope to see a whole bunch of subys next time

george

ps. thanks nate for posting those pictures, that the first time i've seen my car racing

dang, how shredded are your tires george?
I checked the pressures in mine after we got done running and for some reason I had 38 psi in the front passenger side so the shoulder was a little worn down due to the left hand fast corners and all the rest had 45 in them, I don't know if the valve stem was leaking or what??
Anyway, it was a pretty good time... fun to meet everyone

I had 37.888, but I'm damn proud of that for my first time at an autocross.

I didn't stay for the Governer's cup though. I went home and slept for about 14 hours!

I haven't checked my front passenger tire since yesterday, but it definately took a beating on saturday. I think I'm gonna have to look into some dedicated race tires next year.
