Read the HID FAQ up top, think twice about putting HIDs in your stock lights.
HID fogs will give you worse visibility in poor weather, you actually want yellow light for the fogs.
Plus since HID kits are illegal to sell now you have to be very, very careful about what you buy and from whom.

Thanks Mulder. I was going to try and put the yellow hids in my foglights. But I still want to try the 6000k hid kit for my headlights. Can anyone help me?

Ok, I suppose you can try that with the fogs. But even with yellow output the extra intensity of HIDs could be too much for the simple reflectors in the fogs, you may still get a lot of glare. There also aren't too many HID setups that will fit in there due to the minimal clearance.
Personally for the stock fogs I'd stick with halogen bulbs, you can go with yellow ones like Narva Golds. If you want more light than the stock fogs can produce with halogens, and/or you're really after a driving pattern vs. fog, adding a set of auxiliary lights may be a better idea.

i am with mulder hids in a stock unit that has a dual fitament is not a good idea. i would suggest start of with some aftermarket lights, ie uk300's, morettes, or the like...NOT THE EBAY DUAL BEAMS. if that doesnt help you, then install some HID's into those. as for the fogs, yeah get some yellow bulbs. i would suggest hella yellowstars. you could replace the stock fogs with some hella 500's or the like, AND install yellow bulbs. the thing that sucks is that i always have thought the 02's have the worst lighting output of the impreza models. although that may explain why there are SO MANY aftermarket lights for them.

From what I hear, Prodrive does not make the UK300's anymore for the 02/03 Imprezas. The only place I see them these days is on the "for sale" thread on this site. Here's a pic of my wagon w/ them. I'm running Hella HID ballasts w/ 4300K Philips bulbs. They rock!!

Good luck w/ whatever you choose to do. Oh yeah, I recently saw a guy from RI selling a set of morrettes for $325 in the for sale thread. Check it out.
