There's ALOT of fast cars out there, but hardly any of them are running stock blocks, let alone a stock EJ20.

Just for clarity, only bone stock EJ20s apply (any EJ20). Stock rods, pistons, liners.

Thanks

the car i drive now ran 11s on a stock wrx motor. with a vf22 and a 150 shot. it is robPA's old car. he ran an 11.8xx at 116 i think with a 1.6 60 foot thanks to the 4eat and 150 shot.

granted he only made it down the track once or twice with that setup, before it blew up. (and ive never had it running faster than that.)

robPA had a vf22, a 150shot, a 4eat with protorque converter, utec, a FMIC, pe800s with perrin rails, and a bunch of other ****. the turbo was making somewhere between 18-22 psi, and he sprayed the shot.

im sure the tuning was very amature, (obviously because he blew up) and it was a wetshot running right into the IC pipe, pre TB. believe me im not trying to brag about the tune or the car, or anything, i despise rob anyways, since he stole the money i sent him to ship my ****ing car, and a bunch of other ****.

What is crazy it that there are people on this board so dead set against nitrous? They dump like 7 or 8 K into their car and run a 13 flat. I am trying to come up with a setup that is barebones cheap that can get me into 11's or even 12's I would be happy with.

vf22 or vf34: 450 used
50 shot nitrous: 300 used
fmic: 450 new(xspower)
bov for fmic: 85 used
intake for fmic: 75 used
fuel pump: 90 new
injected(modded stocks): 75 used or matched ones for 130
utec w/ switch: 550 used
turoback: 330 new(xspower)
lc-1 wideband: 150
misc gauges: 200

total: $2755 for an 11 second car. Considering some people spend like 1500 for a turbo alone, 2800 doesnt seem so bad.

did i miss anything???

bold words right there... just cause you box you think you can step in the ring with ali?
have you ever driven a car with a turbo that size? driving a 22 setup vs a 35r setup are different games entirely.

hes talking about big al. the fat guy who was one of the first to do jdm 207 swaps on this board, he ran like 11.8s at 124 or something.

some would say your life is better having not ever run across that name.

i kinda like his antics.

i believe what was said - excuse my poor quoting skills - was directed towards "soon2b"'s driving. i have no problem with steve, he's a cool guy. met him at the track a while back... but assuming that he could drive somebody elses setup to XX time, thats a little bold.
i know all about the freidmeister... he sucks. and his evo is slow

I know the hp my car makes to run a 11.8 and Soon2b is making about 200whp more then me. The cars are the about same weight, you can do the math. I didnt mean it to sound like Soon2b cant drive because he can. He pulls good 60's with that huge turbo which is half the battle. I know it takes lots of practice to run a car to its max. I have alot of practice and with a few runs I am sure that car will run a very low 11 or high 10.

And yes right now I am running a gt35 sized turbo but it still launches just like a vf22. I have always launched at 6-7k which is well in the spooling range of the gt35. Next year when I can afford a Hydra my car will be running much faster, or be broken.

Lol Doug...i'm not sure if i should thank you for this post or get mad at you. You got me all excited to go to the track now...which means i have to fix my damn car, which is annoying. Plus now your going to have to make me buy nitrous to make up for my inadequate driving.

Ed--Steve's just joking around, i know he didn't mean anything by it...besides everybody thinks they're a good driver when they drive small turbo's All kidding aside i guess you got your car up and running somewhat? Steve you're right the car should be running tons faster than it is But i'm still happy with the 11.7 the first time out. All in due time. BTW what track to you normally run at, if you're not too far, we should make some passes before the season closes. (Thank god for New England weather )

Yup I race at Island in Great Meadows NJ, about 70 miles from you. They are open until Nov 20th weather permiting. I could do a few runs on wastegate boost, but I dont want to push it too hard until I get injectors and EM. I just need to throw the intake mani back on, I was taking some pics for the swap forum. I would love to see your car in action!!
