wrap on stock headers vs aftermarket w/ wrap?
would it do me better to get aftermarket headers and wrap them, or do the stock ones? to many threads on headers do this headers do that. or my fav is they dont help at all. let me know if you have done the stocker or not. help a brother out.

for stock headers best thing to do is to P&P to smooth out flow, and while they are off you can coat them.
stock cast iron headers already have good heat retention characteristics so i wonder if just wrapping them will give you any noticeable gain. also wrapping the stock headers will promote rust formation and may cause cracking. for aftermarket ones, yes, definitely wrap them. .02 |
