Yeah, it's a track slut..

Default Kartboy short shifter on factory SPT short shifter

I have an '02 WRX wagon... Is this worth it, or is the stock short shifter good enough.

I'm doing bushings either way, but I might as well do both at once if its worth it.

I drove my buddies last week with the kart-boy SS kit. I liked the improvement. I havent driven though since he put the bushings in though. But yeah I could feel the difference.

Do the rear shifter bushing, it makes 10X the difference that the normal bushings make.

If you have the factory SS and want the Kartboy lever, you have to order the one for the older ('01-earlier) Impreza since the SS uses the narrower old-style linkage.

Or you can order the one for the 02+ Impreza and just do a little grinding

Check out turninconcepts.com

I replaced front and rear shifter bushings, added their pivot bushing and purchased the narrow style Kartboy SS. I have the SPT shifter like you.

One of the best improvements I've made to the car so far. Get the Kartboy shifter there is a large improvement over just bushings.
