I wouldn't go back. They overcharge and don't use proper judgement. Partly it is my fault for not giving them a spending limit. However, they initially quoted me 2-3 hours which I thought reasonable.
The money I spent having them make a spring perch for the Tein Wagins, I could have sold my coilovers and bought NEW coilovers with camber plates. To me, that is bad judgement on their part. |

yeah custom fabricated parts always end up to be really expensive The bad thing is you never know how long it would take to make the part, and they charge by the hour. The way I see it, at least they do things correctly I rather pay a lot to have a good car then having a ghetto garage to do it for $10 and they break everything on the car. It would end up costing more to fix their mistakes then getting it done correctly the first time. I know what you are saying though John. ADDICT |

One more thing...
They did a alignment for me (3 weeks ago?) and immediately after the alignment, I used my camber gauge to measure the camber and a front wheel had already gone from -1.25 degree to -1.75. Both rear wheels were at -1.0 which was perfect. I also measured toe and it was perfect at near 0 in rear and 1/16 in front. Last night, I measured again, and I have a rear wheel that went from -1.0 to -2.5 and a front wheel that was already at -1.75 to -2.00 The only reason I can think of this happening is that instead of using the camber bolt to adjust the camber and forcing the hub to have the most negative camber possible, they just pulled on the hub for more positive camber and tighten the bolt. This then allows the hub to settle with more negative camber that originally aligned as soon as you hit a bump. On the good side, they have a VERY clean shop and machine shop which can make anything you need. However, basic judgement is something I'd expect from them. If they charge me what I could have bought new and better, I think that is doing a dis-service to the customer. Unfortunately, that is why they lost me as a customer. |

John,
umm.....I don't understand why your camber is changing, they would fix it for free if you bring it back. Their biggest problem is they have no clue about Japanese cars, their expertise is on BMW. So they wouldn't know the spring perch they are making for you cost more then new coilover available on the market. They would tell you if they know. I am sorry to know your bad experience, I am not here to try to win you back. I am just telling it like it is. Put it this way, I feel they are expensive too, but I don't know of any other shop in San Diego that provide their level of services for a lower price. If you know, please tell me, I'll switch too.
