Question With all this talk of O2 sensors, what kind of mileage are you getting with WRX?

I just want to make sure I am within normal range. I am getting about 20 MPG on the nose with mostly city driving but gentle driving (brean in period).

Wagon: 21 first tank and 20 2nd tank. I sure hope premium does not go sky high this summer!

24 MPG so far over two tanks, 50% city miles. But I'm using 93 because I can get that cheaper at BJs than I can get 91 at open gas stations.

I'm using 93 as well. I'm just worried because I feel hesitation sometimes and I'm not quite sure what that is. I am worried that is the knock sensor triggering. This is all at light load.

So far I'm getting better milage than my RS. Both running on 91-92 octane.

19-21 in the RS, 21-23 in the WRX.

I got 22.3 and 23.6 in first two fillups. I hope it goes up just a bit more!

I've been regularly using 93 octane gas (though I just found a Sunoco in Jersey with 94 octane for the same price as 93 in NY). On strictly highway miles from the dealer not going above 3,000 RPMs, I got 27 mpg. In the city here, I've been getting about 20 mpg. I don't take the revs above 4000-4500 RPMs. The car has about 850 miles on it now.

It sounds like I'm a little late on the C&D report. Subaru just sent it to all the dealers, I thought it was a awesome time.

Maybe I can find more things to let you know, what you already know. Ya'll are just to quick for me.

Peace

I guess driving like my Grandmother that first tankful of 93 paid off- 31mpg! However, the second tank with some 'spirited' driving yeilded 24mpg.

Just wait till after break-in. First fill up was around 26-27 mpg, now around 1800 miles, I seem to not get more than 21-22 mpg. Then again it is a lot more fun to drive.
