Lightbulb The Location field... it's not just for kids anymore!

Just my quick two cents.

We've got these spiffy Location fields off to the left here, everyone thinks it's fashionable to put some cool little joke in there. However there are a lot of threads where a person's location is fairly relevant to the topic at hand.

Can we maybe start putting geographically specific stuff in there? You can still use BOTH your car lines for whatever silliness you'd like.

Thank you!

Oh that Ed... I'll get him someday...

There are plenty of threads where knowing a person's general location, even just the STATE, makes your replies more or less relevant and sensible.

I noticed this most recently in the LASIK thread. I'm wondering where everyone who's asking about this stuff lives, so I know if I should be recommending my doctor... and they're all on Bass Planet or living in a Dixie cup or something :P

No way, I won't be able to fit all my cars in if I use my location field for my location.

isn't it obvious where I'm from?

I put Family Guy quotes in my location, it's based in RI, I was born in RI.

That being said, I live in Boston

Yes, moomoo, he has a good point, but how boring would it be if we all did the same thing?

but all doing the same tard thing is still all doing the same thing, no?

like filling out a morgage application and under 'place of birth' you put 'your mom!'

Comparing OT antics to a mortgage application?

Deep breaths, deep breaths.

So what you're saying is
1- it's ok for everyone to do the same thing as long as it's not a tard thing
2- you have the magical power to decide what's retarded and what's not

But chicky... you ARE all doing the same thing! You're all putting OT witticisms in your location line instead of your actual location. Conformity through obscurity.

You're all sheep no matter WHICH way you look at it!!
