Angry Sorry Stupid Newb Question

Does the transmission and front diff share the same fluid?

In the process of changing out my front struts, I pulled the axel out of the diff and didn't notice it till after I took the car for a spin.

I was extremely lucky that the axel partially seated and only the seal pulled away from the diff.

I found out that the C clip is a bit stronger than I anticipated.

So now I need to verify that there is enough fluid in the diff.

Lest clarify this for people who use the search function. Only if it is a manual transmission does it share fluid. Automatics do not

Yes, I found lots of information on the automatic and rear diff but not much on the 6 speed, front diff and 2.5.
