Post Pulley install question.

I have an auto-tranny, and I can't torque the pulley down because I can't find a way to keep the crank from turning. How do you hold it in place on an auto?

I give you that pulley is off.

Put belts on, tightn them up. Jam Power Stearing pulley with something (Screwdriver, chunk of wood, etc). Tightn to your likeing.

You are going to have to stop the pulley from moving from an outside force. Simply putting the car in D, or any other gear in an auto will make no difference cause you need to spin the torque converter up to hold the crank and you can't do that without starting the engine. Another thing other then what 25PSI added is to move the crank via starter, and have the wrench resting on the ground as to tighten the bolt using the starter...Be VERY careful as to not let the engine spin the wrench around and hurt your self/ others.
Good Luck

Also Don't repeat Don't jam anything in the belts the torque required will snap the belt or at least sterech it out.
