High flow cats are only good 2-5 years. So I agree if you can. That's assuming the tune isn't running super rich

the BPV/BOV blockoff plate and plug are optional, since some people prefer to use (2) BOV's on these setups.

the kit price includes high flow cat, but a lot of people are requesting cat-less so the price and listing will be adjusted to allow you to select cat or not

every state is different, but we've passed 4/4 cars successfully so far!

What would be the pros vs cons for running dual BOVs on that setup with low boost?

the EFR's integrated BOV is all you need, and how i prefer to set the cars up.

Some of our customers have asked to keep their BOV and piping for a couple reasons, whether "vent to atmosphere" sound or they simply dont want to block off the intake tubes recirc or whatever. This would be a con IMO because turbo speed won't stay up as high as the EFR bov only, which vents the high pressure outlet back into the turbo's compressor (low pressure) inlet

Will there be instructions on how to run all the vac lines? This little kit looks promising.

sure thing - its REALLY easy:

stock BOV vac line -> EFR BOV nipple
stock WG hose -> EFR WG hose

Obviously you need to have some tools and basic mechanical skill, but the hardware is all in place. We have the photos documenting every step - just need to get them organized and online with the content written up! oct30th is the 1st day of sema and our deadline for the EFR kits and content to be online

Will there be a TS variant stock location for using the JDM TS header?

I was hoping too Praedet. Can't physically fit due to the larger TS housing.

correct - Twinscroll EFR must be used in rotated configuration. The reason is it's a much longer unit than the T25 (measured axial length) and there is not enough space between a Subaru's intake manifold and firewall for this long a turbo + 3" vband downpipe to fit it all

this is the info that I needed.
Even without the firewall in the way, you add more and more length to the up-pipe, to line it up by the inlet tube and eventually, that offsets the spool gains anyway.

But if there was an uppipe segment that mates the OEM twinscroll exhaust manifold, rotates the turbo and then a matching v-band downpipe, I could picture in my mind a silicone elbow coupler that would mate the compressor inlet, rotated as it is, to the turbo inlet in stock position.

There are advantages to a twinscroll in a Subaru, it's worth keeping.

These need small vband exhaust housings bad (for ewg), just like the tial vband housings for garrett turbos. I would buy a 7163 for sure if something like that is released to go on my rotated vband kit. Thats the only thing thats a deal breaker for these turbos now... not many people want to or can nicely fit a super long turbo like this. Also anyway you look at it ewg>iwg, Sure the IWG design on these are MUCH better then normal but id still rather have a more compact turbo and run my ewg setup, its a win-win.

Im hoping for vband-inlet/outlet ewg exhuast housings to be released for these things, anyone else??? Also it looks like theres no need at all for a twinscroll setup with these smaller framed EFRs, our pre-turbo exhaust volume is already high enough with the extra long piping we already have...

here is a dynochart a customer sent in of this kit with EFR6758 on a stock 2004 2.5L:

(ignore the dip, the dyno's rpm pickup was being intermittent)

If you stop by our SEMA booth this year, you won't be disappointed...

the small frame EFR spool SO fast, i agree twinscroll is not nearly as big of a difference. The larger frame EFR's work great as singlescrolls with a T3 housing... But in twinscroll config their spoolup and response is the best ive experienced from any turbo mfg

Yes a vband version would be great. I may think of switching if this comes out. The results are great for the small frame versions, but the commitment to t25 flange makes upgrading a bit more expensive. If not Id opt for the 7064 just to leave it a bit more modular for upgrades. If there were a vband version in both small and medium frame that would be perfect assuming the outlet for all versions were in the same location and size.
I also like the wheel combos as they fit the suby a bit better with the larger turbine wheel (minus the required pressure ratios).

sorry we were not at MOD eastcoast this year, only made it to the westcoast event. We have a contract with Ford building some ecoboost F150 turbokits for SEMA which has taken up all of our time and resources as of late.

Feel free to post up any questions you have, Im happy to answer. OR if you are in the phoenix area this winter you are welcome to see our 20k sqft facility and the mfg process

sure, Ill email him now asking for the rpm and boost if they logged it. However since you are local to us (gilbert, AZ!) you should probably stop by and get one for yourself
