Talking *Cancelled* PRG Dragonfly RallyCross April 28th @ Straddleline ORV Park

Quote:
Quote:
PRG Membership Package available at this event!
Includes discounted entry fees!
Inquire at the registration tent for more information.
Schedule:
- Tech Inspection: 8am-9am
- Registration: 8:15am-9am
- Driver's Meeting: 9:15am
- First Car Out: 9:30am

Cost: $25 for PRG Members, $30 for non-members (both include admission to the ORV park)

After tech inspection, please go to registration to obtain your timecard. There is only one session scheduled for this event. Worker positions will be assigned at the driver's meeting and the entire group will be split into run/work groups at that time. After the parade lap, those working first will go to their worker assignments. Those running first will put their cars into the grid to prepare for their first run.

Helmets are required (Snell 95 and newer rating). Loaner helmets will be available at the event but in limited supply.

If you're unsure about what class your car will run in, please read the RallyCross rules.

Spectators:
The ORV park charges $10 per car for anyone entering the park. If you're interested in spectating, try to carpool to minimize costs. If you know someone competing, ride along with them. There is a concession stand on-site, so please bring cash for lunch.

Website: http://pacificrallygroup.com/rci042807.html
We hope to see you guys out for this event!

For those of you running the ORG National RallyCross event on May 5th/6th, this is a perfect excuse for a testing day to make sure your car is in top condition for the National event.

Cheers,
Erik

Don't worry, even those three have someone to be afraid of. . .

On another note, anybody know just how long it takes to get the membership card? I paid for mine last time out.

Erik,

Make sure to bring my new number backer out to this one!

Also, I don't see any mention of the May 5th rallyx on the website's calendar.

I got a phone call today from Kim and Steve M. saying that the field at the ORV park is unusable due to the truck event over the weekend. There are logs and rocks all over the lower field plus a large amount of mud on the lower portion. It doesn't look like the field will be in any condition to hold a rally-x by Saturday.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes anyone.

Cheers,
Erik Lyden

Actually, that is convienient. Ken and I have a big send off party to attend in *edit* Renton in the afternoon-evening. Now we don't have to drive crazy after the RallyX to make it kinda on time. Sweet.

Aw crappy, is this the official word? I'd hate to drive down to Olympia and then drive back right away due to the field conditions.

The back up should be the field where we held the car show at the WCSS 3. Not quite as challenging, but at least you could still run the event.

Hope everyone has a good weekend.

Cheers,
Erik

ps. Thanks Nick.

Any event at the ORV park has to fit into their busy summer schedule. We reserved this date months ago so hopefully they will be able to fit us in soon but we don't want to conflict with another rally/rally-x event, either locally or in Oregon.

As for canceled vs. rescheduled, we'll talk about it at the rally-x meeting next week.

Might check their schedule in advance to see who got the infield the week before...I can see this cancelling a few more events if they don't get it repaired in time

The back lot is now a BMX or motorcycle flat track for kids. Nothing but dirt/mud now!

I was talking about the place where the rallyx is currently run, isn't it made up of dirt and mud? But it also has hills and ruts. The field may be dirt and mud (as the arena area is) but it is also less challenging, but at least you would still have the event.
