Why the hate? It's not driving up to that altitude that deserves the sticker, it's the difficulty of driving up the 12% grades with deadly cliffs on both sides of you is the reason for the sticker. And let's face it, the sticker is just a novelty item. I'm never going to stick that to my car. And the "pass" you reffer to happens to be one of the best driving roads in the country.
