03 Sonic Yellow WRX w/Cobb goodies dyno numbers
All the work has been done by Cobb. Car already had a TBE when I got it. Added a Cobb up-pipe, BCS and custom tune on 91 octane at 16.5psi. Getting 244whp/244wtq. Im pretty happy with this! Next up will probably be an STi turbo, we'll see.

Nice numbers for the factory turbo. Get ready for about +50whp/+50wtq when you go to a VF.

i would stay stock turbo, that powerband is perfect for stock engine and turbo. great tq to get you going fast on that little 2.0. the vf is great for highway and top end but it kills the car for street use.

Even with the Cobb BCS and a custom tune? Id like to get closer to 300whp.

I ran an old school ScoobySport catless TBE / STI TMIC / Pinks / VF-34 and that combo was wicked fun, even for auto-x'ing. I put down @280whp with that combo and an OTS map from cobb, and was very happy. I would totally recommend that combo for a super all around fun car. R. |
