I'm a family doctor in Canada

Everything mrkyle3 said about the medical studies is right, it's miserable. You truly have to be passionate about it to pull through it
But it's the most rewarding job in the world in my opinion after you start working for real!

Good luck with your studies!

I'm an entrepreneur. Right now I have a couple active business ventures, but this one is my most lucrative:

A2M Co. We've R&D'd and now produce a battery-powered battery recharger. Our AA batteries are quickly and efficiently recharged using our proprietary plugless AA Battery charger, which is a conveniently portable device powered by rechargeable AA batteries.

PM me for bulk orders or to become a vendor.

To me it is the most boring thing in the world, and that's what helped me realize I needed a job where I would be intellectually stimulated every day and see a variety of things (doctor). I find the concepts behind research fascinating, but the day-to-day tasks are just mind numbing. I think that I find it difficult to keep the long-term goal in mind while performing a PCR for the 20th time in a week . I was a chemistry major in college and did chem research and was reminded of the same thing.

Also don't feel screwed for not taking anatomy, because college anatomy won't even be close to the amount of information and you'll forget most of it anyways by the time you get to medical school

My advice is do what you are passionate about. You will regret it for the rest of your life if you go into a field only because of job security. If you were trying to go into publishing or something I might give different advice, but research is definitely a big field. As long as you work hard you will get a job. You can also have great job security as something like a professor when you get tenure.

It is definitely true though that physicians have some of the best job security of any job, and they are very well compensated (deservedly so, in my opinion).
I really enjoy lab work. My professor told me i was one of the best students to work in his class (primarily a lab course) that my accuracy and precision are right every time, but I'm bad a lecture work. I was even offered to do drug research (substituted cathanones; aka bath salts )

I'm happy I enjoy science, so that means I'm in the field for the field itself rather than simply job security as you said. Just like I enjoy cars, but I don't see myself opening a shop.

Hopefully a deputy sheriff in two years (I'm 19) and them from there a DEA agent. It's always been a dream of mine and I am willing to make sacrifices to achieve it. Currently a sophomore studying criminal justice.

I work in an office building rather than a museum.

I was working at the zoo for a while and that was pretty awesome though.

Deliver furniture. I make ok money hourly but it's the tips on the road that make it worth while. I'll usually make at least half of what I make a day hourly out on the road in tips.

a2m? Like Ass-2-Mouth? Not the best choice of names... esp since it's all about plugging in

Me.. I am a legal pimp. Except instead of pimping ho's I pimp IT resources (staffing business). Most of them are dirtier and more greedy than actual hookers.

Nobody is ever happy, they always want it yesterday. We do mostly war/conflict support and troop movements.
