You need Opensource even with the Utec to handle all of the idle and lower RPM management anyways. Car is going to run a bit rough with 1680CC Injectors without it.

Ytdiamond05's car is still running just the stock ECU for now and it's idling pretty good. I don't think he's running 1600's though, I think 1200s.

Mine is fired up and running. I am going to have an AEM wideband put in, and then try to get tuned in the next week or so.

I drove it home tonight. I need to tweak some stuff over the weekend and change the front brakes. I am hoping to start basic adjustments tomorrow for the drive-ability and then we will get some dyno time after I get it through emissions and inspection. Drive first, fly later!

His car is finally street legal now as of today. Emissions done yesterday, inspection last week and new tags today. Should be done with break-in in no time.

I would put something to shield that air filter from all the hot air coming from the radiator. No to be injesting hot air compressing it and making it hotter and then expecting the fmic to efficiently cool down the charge.Just a thought to help you out. Also the air intake may be a restriction being 3",may not be able to supply the turbo with the volume of air it will want.

We reused the air intake tube since it was part of the last kit. I may have a 4" one built in the very near future. I figures it would be good enough to get the car back on the road and sorted out. I had a scoop from the stock air box made to send fresh air over to the side, but it is missing. I may make another.

Your hta88 is a little different on the hotside wheel.

I posted the spool up on this thing last Nov, honestly it sucked. I was very unamused with the turbo. In 4th gear it was in the low 5k range and the power output was not much better then an ht86, especially once you take into consideration the loss of rpm down low and TQ.

If this thing doesn't do what I want on it's own, I will be adding nitrous.

I don't care if the power band is shifted to the right as long as I can still get the power band. I am willing to spin this thing to 9K if I have to. That will still give me a useable power band. Spool up doesn't matter if you are launching from 7500 RPM.

Sorry about the sideways picture. We did our initial tuning to get things dialed in.

Waste gate pressure only, 93 octane, 21-22 psi. Notice that this is an HTA GT3794 and it is making full boost by 4200 RPM! Power band on this run is revving to 8500. Where is all of the lag everyone keeps speaking of?

Did the initial tuning at Mach V. 28lbs tapering to 26. Still just pump gas. Very conservative tune.

Let me know what you think. I am picking up the car either this afternoon or tomorrow. It looks like it will be a blast to drive.

wow. spool looks very good. jeeez im impressed. Sorta surprised it didint make more power though but I guess it wants more boost. Also the 93 might be some of it or the safe tune.

Let us know how it feels

If u are looking for sub 600whp, maps new turbo kills this for spool. Forgot the name of it, it's on map's site. Just saw an amazing test on a 2.4l evo and the spool/power potential is AMAZING, especially if we use it on a 2.5 I bet

So I picked the car up on Tuesday, and this thing really spools fast on the street. It spools faster than the old GT35 did and it just keeps pulling! I have made a couple runs through 3rd and 4th which got scary when I went over just a tiny bump on the road and spun the tires at 90. I can get to full boost in 5th gear by 4K rpm. The way it passes on the highway by just steady tipping in with 5th gear is amazing. I am probably going to drive it as it is for the next couple of weeks and then take it back to work on the meth tunes and maybe get to the C16.
