Pretty sad that we've devolved into giving such a five about the phone other people choose to buy. Feels like middle school in here.

How is it relevant? This is an iphone thread. If you want to bash apple at least keep it on topic.

APPLE ANNOUNCES ANTIQUATED IPHONE5 - YouTube

Wow, I want exactly the opposite of whatever this guy is selling. Is that a tv tray he's using as what, a podium of something? The place is lit by what looks like a bug light and he has a comforter hung on the wall. He is obviously the voice everyone has been screaming for. Nice work.

Jailbreak iOS 6 release date / time?

Actually there is no official confirmation from iPhone dev-team? but we expect that iOS 6 jailbreak will be released within hours or at worst case, after days. iOS 6 jailbreak will be only available for iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 4G. The rest iDevices (iPhone 5, 4S, iPad 3, 3 and iPod touch 5G) will consume some time because of its complexity.

Apple makes the iPhone 5 last time I checked. Probably the most active thread for apple users. I'm so sorry you had to read my totally irrelevant post and scroll a few more lines. So sorry.

Try being more of a sensitive whiny little bitch.

How is performance of ios6 on the 4s? How does it handle the new 3d mapping?

Works fine for me. Turn by turn directions work great via paired Bluetooth, as well.

Having switched from my EVO (I had the original) I'm really liking this new update (currently have 4S on Sprint). It still lacks customization and widgets but my iPhone works flawlessly and all the apps work without bugs and have support unlike my EVO.

Besides SMS auto reply for when I'm in meetings or sleep I'm perfectly happy with my 4S and don't ever see a need for upgrading to a new phone (until the 4S stops getting updates atleast).

I didn't look through the whole thread but my Passbook isn't working. Is this a problem for anyone else. It keeps saying that it cannot connect to the iTunes store.

**** off ****. Under IOS5 when I used maps, powered by google, previous destinations were not accessible as a list as they are under IOS6.

As long as she likes the way Apple does things, it's fine.

Yes ... they ... were. If you pressed 'Search' on the bottom left of the map, and then the little 'bookmark' icon in the search pane, you would have seen 3 buttons at the bottom... Recent / Favorites / SomethingElseICan'tRemember. Was like that since they actually had a mapping program.

I have a 3GS and updated to IOS6 last night. There are a few things that won't work, but it'll do until I decide to get a new phone. (I.e. vocal turn by turn directions). It's about the same speed as iOS4 and 5 are. No noticible difference in lag. Just have to get used to the new features/privacy settings.

I fully expect that when Apple releases a new iOS, that 3GS will no longer be supported, and am amazed that iOS6 still is to tell you the truth.

She doesn't care as much as I do but I'm hearing the OS is abound with bugs. I believe OT's iNuts before anything I read in the paper.

Do you have to upgrade to the new OS?

The OS updates are usually optional, but I don't know if it will affect anything if you don't...not sure why it would.

When you connect to a PC it will ask if you wish to update, you can always say no.
