Angry Bird Road Subaru - Miami, FL

New here; don't own a Subaru yet, but this experience I had with the dealer pissed me off. I spoke to someone about a 2.5i, said he only had automatics on the lot and could get me a great deal on a WRX. Sure enough, I went down there out of idle curiosity....ok, I really want a WRX even though I probably can't or shouldn't be able to afford one right now. First off, he makes excuses for why I cant test drive either the 2.5i or WRX, 'oh theres all these cars in the way, the hurricane is coming so we had to put everything away'. Mind you, this tropical storm was 2 days away. I've had other dealerships move cars out and around just to let me scoot around for a test run. Why not now on a car that 'sells itself once you drive it'. We talk about the pricing, he shoots me a price far below the sticker. We talk about final price, my down payment, financing. Even though I was planning to get my loan elsewhere, I had him run my credit. He comes back with an exaggerated monthly payment figure...The monthly figure basically didn't match the final price with my down payment, tax/tag/title, and interest calculated. I did the numbers in front of him and he sort of panics, like customers aren't supposed to have the brains to figure **** out on their own. Rather than explain the figures as I requested, he jumps to the old 'how much do you want your payments to be'. I was pretty much done at that point. Typical shark attitude. I guess I'll have to check the other Subaru dealerships in the area.

i got my wrx from a dealer near me.. pompano beach area.. Eddie Accardi, the experience all in all was good, salesman was cool, they all seem to do the price bs back and forth with their bosses, but my mom knew how to work them.. they got my payments low and spend alot of time with me.. if ur up this way id reccommend takin a look, sales wise its good. service wise can be a hassle, but that depends on problems and who u deal with. every dealer has their problems.

hope u find a better dealer down there.

Angry Bird Road Subaru experience

I bought MY05 STi at bird road Subaru and i found the salesman and owner to be ******* with horrible attitude's and very shark like tactics. I bought the car cash and i brought the check saturday as me and the salesman had agreed and then he wanted to keep my check even after i showed him bank account online showing that i could buy outright at least 5 Sti, until monday when i could pick up the car. i took that as an insult and left with my check. The next day the salesman came to my house begging for the sale and i told him i'd think about it. I went around to next closest dealership in north miami and they quoted me a way higher price about $37,500 after fees and all (Everything is more expensive in Miami) so i went back to bird road because the salesman had dropped another $500 of the sticker price when i had spoke to him at my house. he agreed to have the car delivered to my door and free oil changes and evcerything. needless to say i had finally pick up my car at least 4 hours after they said it would arrive at my door step at the dealership and they charged me more when i went to get a oil change and asked for full synthetic. so all and all i would suggest not dealing with Bird Road Subaru unless you want to be treated like ****. I'll never buy another subaru from them.

I bought my 07 2.5i from them. I first walked in and was looking around for probably 20 mins or so waiting for someone to come help me (granted I was also the only customer in the sales dept walking around) I finally walked up to some guy who looked like a manager and asked him for some help. He directed me to the only salesman that was working that day (who didn't speak english very well).

I told him I was interested in the black 2.5i they had (which I had researched their inventory before I went). He said no problem. He grabbed the keys and we went for a little test drive. Everything seemed like it was going well. We get back to the dealer and we sit down in his office and he starts asking for a check. (I'm guessing for a down payment.) I'm like "Whoa. We need to talk numbers first" We talk about numbers and tells me something like almost $300 a month. I tell him no way. Subaru at the time was offering $169 a month for lease on 2.5i. I explained this to him, to which he had no idea what I was talking about.

He has to grab a manager (who also had no idea) and go on Subaru's website to see the lease offer. I start thinking to myself that I need to get out of here but that 2.5i was exactly the car I wanted. So he then comes back with an offer of $199. I still tell him no. The offer was $169. We go back and forth several times and he keeps asking for a check. I finally got tired of dealing with him and we agreed on $180 a month. (It was $169 plus tax which then came to $180). I sign all the papers and he hands me a gas ticket for $7 and tells me to take the car to the gas station down the street and get some gas. I laughed at him, took my free $7 worth of gas, and left.

I feel lucky that I'm a technicain so I've never had to deal with their service dept. I can only imagine what that's like.

I will never buy a car from them again.

The head mechanic (Mike) took my 400hp wrx for a joyride after changing my oil. I caught him in the act of it. Then, he tried to tell me that a drop of oil got on the exhaust so he was doing me the favor by burning it off. I hope he truly didn't think the guy that built this car in his driveway didn't know that the turbo and downpipe are in the EXACT OPPOSITE location of the area where you pour in the oil. I have not gone back since. Horrible customer service. They are EXTREMELY unprofessional.

Mike is actually not a mechanic at all, but rather the service advisor. I just got my car back yesterday, it was there for a week. My car was misfiring this morning and not hitting target boost. For some reason, they loosened the intercooler hose and it was causing a massive vacuum leak.
