Default LA: FS Buschur Racing 3" TBE

Edit! I am swapping with Spanky. This item is SOLD!!!!!!!
Thanks, Spanky!

I am selling my TBE for $400 + shipping. But I REALLY dont want to ship.

Edit for sound clips and photos located: Here.
Edit: Here is a link to the Buschur site for more info on the TB.

It is very light, very loud, and it sounds great at idle or when revving the engine. No one wanted to race me or even look twice at my car until i put this exhaust on. (I have a black 02 wagon with black wheels.)
So if you want to be noticed, this exhaust is for you!

chad, if you have sound clips, that'd be great.

what other system is this comparable to in terms of noise? have you experienced interstate or city driving droning? if so, is it anything that can be muted by listening to music at moderate levels? is this full catless?

edit: ah, chad, i found some clips that you put on NR. did you ever get a Db reading?

I am home now. As soon as the laptop charges some, I will have video and sound via iSight. I will try to include the dB meter in the vid so you can "see" how loud it is.

Stay tuned.

PS: Phil those sound clips were made before i realized that there was a big leak were the pipes met. I got a clamp to seal it from NAPA, and it got a bit quiter. Most of the dronning went away after putting the clamp on. The clamp fixed the leak but it is still f'ing loud.

Yes it is catless.

If you have upgraded your stereo, I think that you have, you might drown it out.

Default Yay!

Sound clips/movie here!

I could not get the dB meter in the shot.
Readings at idle @ 3' on level with the pipe were in the 100-104dB range.
Readings at idle @ 3' at my chest level (about 4') were in the 94-98ish range.

Readings while reving midrange rpm were in the 100-115db range at a 6' level with the pipe.
Readings in the car while reving were peaking at about 110dB.

These dB reading were taken with my Radio Shack Anolog dB meter.

The exaust is made to fit without flanges. I put a clamp on to seal the two pipes together. If you look at their site, you should be able to see what I am talking
about.

The sound clips I put up on NOLARIDES.com at the top of this post are from last night. The "leak" was an installation error. I bought the exhaust used and it didnt come with a clamp to hold the two pipes together were they join. I didnt realize that it was a problem for a few hundrerd miles. Then someone at my wife's shop suggested a clamp to seal/jion the two pipes together, thereby making ALL exaust gases exit through the muffler.

JUST TO BE CLEAR! There are NO holes in the muffler, piping, etc. (Except for where they are supposed to be. )
