... You have conversations like this:
You: That looks like a nine or ten second Nova.
Other Guy: That's about right. Want to race?
You: Sure. In about ten minutes.
Other Guy: What happens in ten minutes?
You: It's going to rain.
Other Guy: Oh, I'm not running in the rain...

..and within those 3 weeks, you have already done half the things already mentioned on this thread before the first time coming to this site, and then get the satisfaction of knowing..I'm home

when people wave back and are not disappointed

when you mention buying a part from the impreza line to make your car more subtle and get PMs instantly asking for a trade

you know you drive an 09 wrx (pre-wide body), when people say "Hey! Nice Mazda!"

...and when everyone and their mother wants to race you.

When your girlfriend gets upset that you aren't spending the money on her...

And when she complains about it to a friend at work, he finds out what kind of car I have, he sides with me.

When your girl has stopped complaining about car parts cause she already knows she has lost the battle indefinitely.

When you come out of a store and there is someone standing by your car expressing their love for subarus.

I like to use mine to bait GTI's and Civics into racing at lights, accelerate fast to the speed limit and then let them keep going. I've gotten at least 2 people tickets this way.

I've had my 2012 PBP WRX for less than 48 hours and already had 1 side-bill brotard curb check his bumping Protege while making a left in front of me in cause he was staring. I always thought people were making this stuff up.

lulz I did that in my impreza a lot. now I just don't give a crap. you can still get a ticket depending on your state, whether it be exhibition of speed, racing, unsafe driving, etc. then again, the last time I did that I was about 19 or 20.
