Was Jesus gay? He might have been. I heard there was no ancient Jewish custom for men to kiss each other as a greeting, so why would Judas kiss Jesus to identify him, unless kissing Jesus was nothing out of the ordinary???

Well, if he was born into the tribe of Judah...or the Jew..wouldn't he resemble a Jew?

people are still stuck on the Jewish is a race thing.
even if we set aside the fact that "RACE" is a socialy constructed concept. Being Jewish is still an ethnic group more than anything. Race is a crappy way of dividing up people, because there is no set characteristics that difine a "race", and every culture has different critera for deciding what race a person belongs too. In fact, there are more genetic variations inside each (western defined) "race" than there are between two different "races". |

He's kinda blueish green right now. But that's probably because he's been in my basement since I hit him over the head with a shovel 3 weeks ago.

So he would most likely of looked like one of the 9/11 hijackers? Then again what proof is there that any of it is true to begin with? It could of all just been a good novel taken out of context and used as a tool to keep people from acting like savages. Maybe he was just an ordinary person but had mental issues so he thought he was talking to god? What if it was really the devil working some intricate scheme while he pretended to be the son of god? What if none of you actually exist and I'm actually god?

I'm quite sure jesus was in color alone closer to Tan then anything else, how many people from the israel/palestine area have you met that were white in appearance?
I'm far from a bibilical scholar, hell, I'm not even Catholic, I'm buddhist. But if I remember correctly there was some sort of description that mentioned skin of bronze and hair like lambs wool. So it wasnt quite nappy, but it wasnt stringy either. |

you guys are dumb and this thread should be locked.
Ever notice that Jesus and God are made fun of and joked about more than any other religious figure? Why is that? Probably because it's not much fun to make fun of dead people like Buddha or Mohammed.... |

If you believe in Christianity, why would you make fun of it? I can understand making light of certain things, but how can you be truly committed to a "religion" that you make fun of? just my opinion...course the rules do state that: No ethnic, religious belief or sexual preference "bashing" will be tolerated and it would seem that this is bashing, especially to those of us that really believe in Jesus... edit: by the way, I have nothing against asking if Jesus really was black...if it's a real question...this thread isn't a religious discussion...it's bashing...period. |

I agree that no one should be bashing anyone's religion. But I think making a few jokes doesnt quite qualify as bashing. I can take a joke about being fat, or agnostic, or straight edge, or vegetarian. Im sure any good hearted Christian can take a Jesus joke. |
