Default For sale in Seattle: 1992 Legacy "L" Wagon

This car has a blown head gasket. It was fixed about 10,000 miles ago, but new head bolts were not used (there is a bit more to this ... I can explain the circumstances). At that time, the heads were checked by a machine shop, with no problems found. Other than the head gaskets, I'd say it was in good condition. We have owned it since 1995 and have taken good care of it. It has 199K on it (70K when we bought it) and consumes a bit more than one quart of oil between changes (which is every 3000 miles).

The original transmission was replaced by a factory rebuilt and the heater core was replaced last winter. The timing belt was replaced when the head gaskets were replaced.

I would fix this car again, but it has been sitting in my garage now for at last three months, as I simply don't have the time to repair it (considering my other priorities).

I can provide details of how it has been maintained (I have all of the receipts) and additional details about its current condition. It would be a good purchase for someone who is mechanically inclined and willing to do some work on it. $1000 or best offer.

My cell is 206-390-4323.
