Yep that was my forester that wishes it was a WRX or at least an XT :P
He's got a family of rally prepped STI's at work at least for him to feel cool about.

Drove to the hometown this weekend for its annual car show:

Getting set up early in the morning:

Showtime:

There was a cruise the night before. A professional photographer took pictures of each car and offered fake magazine cover pictures of you and your car. I figure I'd get one this year...

Photographer Guy: "I've got dozens of fake magazine cover templates for any car you can imagine...Domestics, imports, European, exotics, muscle, classic, hotrods...you name it. So, what kinda car did you have?"

Me: "Um...It's British design, but uses a Japanese powertrain, and was built in America with a US-spec engine."

Guy: "Oh......How about we just give you a poster with the name of the car at the bottom?"

"Sure."

Stopping to pet the rattlesnakes at a mid-Washington rest stop:

Just bought it, below is the list from the seller (it was probably on here, I found it on RS25.com).

The car is my wife's DD and she really likes the tan interior. We're actually preparing to do a Ver VI conversion (inside and out) because she likes that look much better. My RS is going to get the JDM seats and hopefully a swap sometime soon. Should be an awesome pairing.

Here's our shop project car, an '06 STi. It's in rough shape right now but we're shooting for about 500hp when the motor is done. We made a little time lapse video when we built the short block. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhfInv8ITh4

It's a slow process trying to work on it with everything else but we definitely have high hopes for this car!

On a whim, I tried my first attempt at light painting. What do you guys think?

This has always been on my to do list! What was your light source? Looks pretty good man, I don't know much though so I can't really critique.

Mine as well. I used just one led flashlight. It's pretty bright but I probably needed more light. If I had more time, I would have got down from the blocks and aimed the light better. It is pretty simple, shoot in a dark place with a 30 second exposure and literally paint your car with the light source. I will try again at some point but I like them.
