Yea I checked jna, also should've mentioned i don't want to spend a rediculous price for a lip, but still don't see one on there that's not for premium bumpers. I've checked jna, bayson r, hpt, eBay. I know they're out there somewhere

He used the one for the premium bumper... Due to it being a retrofit for the 08 wrx there are gaps on either side of it on the premium bumper... I assume this smaller center section helps it fit the non premium bumper as well... You can see the gaps here:

i was on the same boat. i have a base WRX too and i think i had a premium bumper originally but was replaced with a Impreza bumper

Ebay sells OEM Optional front lip replicas for the impreza. Or you can order the OEM option from Subaru

Looks better when color matched

^^ insane_one I think that's what I'm going to do. Definitely looks better than putting a regular cs style lip on the base bumper

Is that the Ebay bumper or OEM?
Just went to Subaru -Heuburger today in colorado springs.
they said it was like $275 for an OEM one.
Not sure if they're too much different, my car is 2008 WRX - black sooo.

You'll probably save a lot more money getting it through eBay and the quality and fit isn't bad at all... as my friend had one set up for his 08 a while back.

Anyone can tell me how much more power overall I would get from a gtspec Equal length header/ up-pipe combo? Been searching around and still not sure if I wanna pull the trigger or not. Sound isnt a big deal to me as I have a 2011 stock wrx exhaust, cant hear a bloody thing anyway.

I've been reading about 10whp and 20+ awtq. but is it really worth the price and power band.

Thanks!

No, no one can tell you exactly. But there is quite a bit more power and the throttle response is vastly improved.

Unless you're building a full-on racecar you'd probably be better off with something like what grimmspeed offers. Just a guess.

EDIT: That is, in terms of "bang for your buck."

You'll get some power gains and better throttle respone like the person above have said. But if you want something that's worth the money I would look else where as the gains are pretty minimal.

My set up is..
Full Turbo-back
CAI
FMIC
EBCS
Walbro FP
Road Tuned at ~20psi
(I think that's about it as far as power mods. Can't remember em all for some reason hahaha.)

For me, getting the EBCS was TOTALLY worth the money, wish I got that first along with the dp and intake, but it was actually the last thing I got.

What's the best way to add some WHP?
I've seen perrin stage 1 kits with cobb tuning for 2008's but honestly, I'm not brilliant at cars, I only know pretty basic things. More of a PC techie.

Plus, only way to learn is to ask questions and get hands-on!
I also don't want to **** with Cobb tuning myself, unless someone kind of shows me it. That'd be like a complete newbie overclocking his PC and it melts his ****, haha.

An Accessport is super simple to use and there's plenty of videos on YouTube on how to flash a map. But if you're trying to save some money, look into a Torqued Performance map, thats my next purchase, I've heard nothing but great reviews

Tire size I put on the BBS were 225/40/18 to minimize rubbing. That sizing is also .1% within spec of the factory tire size on the 08 WRX.

Heres a cool 'JDM shop' type pic I took yesterday. They were working on my buddy's Amuse S2000 that you see on the hoist, and I took the chance to wash and dry my car in the shop.

So forgive the total noob question but what's the purpose of the master cylinder brace? That just sounds funky as hell to me. Your mod list makes me jealous as hell though and your cars super clean!

Keeps the brake master cylinder/firewall from flexing when you depress the brake pedal. Grimmspeed's website has a nice little animation about it. The master cylinder brace works really well. The install sucks. Get it.
