Talking My baby is coming home!

Well they found what was wrong with my car. Turns out that there was a manufacturers defect in my engine block. The crankshaft was 2 hundredths(sp?) out of spec, which was causing the compression ratio of the engine to change...causing the pinging. As a result I am getting a new shortblock, heads, and pistons. I should have my car back by Friday, and Subaru Customer Service wants to discuss some kind of settlement with me so that I will remain a loyal Subaru customer.
James
PS what do you think I should ask for? I was thinking gauge pack for free

congatsumalations!

bad news you must break it in again

good news, make them pick up a couple car payments and insurance paymentsfor you or, the gauge pack....gauge pack would cost them next to nothing to install for you you want to hit'em where it hurts!

James i did hear you say something about possibly getting an STi when they come out, right?

I say you go to them with this:

Tell them you want one of the first STi 's out delivered to your house all gassed up and with all the goodies.

See what they have to say aobut that and then go for smaller stuff.

Cool

That might work if they were giving me the STi for free. No way I can afford one of those at first..specially if they are live $31K
