Yeah I don't think you need to do all that. My friend who's a Subaru Master Mechanic just had the key cut and sync'd the FOB to my 2005 STi. Unless what you did was integrate the immobilizer to a 2002-2005 wrx. Sweet deal either way!

So you're saying I could just get a Legacy key with the integrated key fob for my 2004 WRX and it would sync right up? Or is the 2005 different?
Also instead of cutting apart the old key, why can't you just get the key blank cut? I sit a different size or something? Thank you.

I really hate having to carry a keyfob, since key sets off the alarm.

Im certain you can sync the fob to a non immobilizer equipped car (2002-2005 wrx). I am because my friend with an 03 wrx wagon had it done as well. You get the integrated key/fob but the immobilizer and trunk pop doesn't work. (If you don't have the immobilizer like the wrx's pre 2006)

He didn't do any modding, just had the blank cut to match and sync'd the new fob with the car.

For some reason I feel there is way to much going on with that OBS up top.

Despite the possibility of being flamed since none of my modifications are really unique, I'll post my OBS just for the sake of seeing his OBS in the same color haha

Oh yeah I forgot about those, so I guess that keeps things unique for this thread. I actually got them from a moderator on here (Glilly) who has a graphics shop. Here's a link to his thread when he made top scoob, all you have to do is PM, literally took like 2 days after I paid for them to show up at my door.

I wasn't talking about your post. Simply posting pictures of a car leaves us wondering what is being "shown". But I guess reading has never been a strong point on NASIOC, as you handedly demonstrate (/sarcasm)
