I really want to see the spool up characteristics with a huge plenum and huge runners, but with the shorter IC pipes. Keep us updated, me especially. I've been following this thread forever and this thing is SO close to being finished.

Update 18.06.2009:
Well car had turbo put back on and 1mm restrictor put in the line to reduce the oil pressure. So turbo line now has a 1mm restrictor in the oil line and a 1.25 mm restrictor in the cartrdige. I am sure this will be enough to work. Car went on the dyno today and i called to see how things were progressing. Sean from allstar told me to get my cheque book out and i thought wtf please dont be the engine.. Turns out that i frikin ran out of fuel at 1.64 bar making 484 hp atw. Now i need to get a fuel system.. Grrrrr will this ever end.. But on a positive note.. Car is making more power sooner around 4-500rpm than the old custom manifold. See attached pic and that is with a much larger manifold. V-mount is obviously helping spool also. My tuner also rekons that the car is feeling much stronger than the old setup and making power for longer before dropping off. Now surge tank is in order.. PW was the go but cant fit two bosch 044s in there, how much does a single aeromotive flow?? Any other solutions?? |

What is your current fuel setup? Is it not 2 Walbro pumps?
and where is your washer fluid tank? |

Yeah twin in tank walbros, they worked at there limit when i made 526 whp. .. But we have maxed it out with the dual fuel rails and injectors. Cant supply enough fuel??.. Looking at a big arse aeromotive that will fit on the PW surge tank system... Window washer resiovior is off atm.. Im getting custom resiviors made up next week for coolant, power steering, window washer and coolant overflow tank.. looking at some ideas for that also... |

glad you are getting closer to what you're looking for with this setup.
btw - what WHP do you expect to make when everything is finally done? Or is it more of a "let's see what it will do" kind of situation? |

It's more of a wait and see approach. We made 526 on the old setup. But my tuner thinks the car is going alot stronger than before so we might be able to put in more boost. But I think at the same boost as before (~1.9 bar) we might be able to crack 550. But I'm not really fussed anything above 500 on pump is ridiciously quik IMO

I am using the Fuelab 42401 pump and (8) 1,000CC injectors. For one, it's cheaper than The Aeromotive Eliminator pump + the aeromotive speed controller. The Fuelab pumps have a built in speed controller which will lower pump speed when it's not needed to run at 100% like the factory ECU and Fuel Pump controller does with the factory fuel pump. I also like one large single pump over two smaller pumps. |

That is for a daily. When the car sees the track or drags it will be tuned on VP109 race fuel. I won't push it too far just for the sake of a number. Will prolly leave it at 600 whp on race fuel I would suspect

The ****ty camera pic seriously does not do the craftsmenship of those resivior tanks any justice...
When i get the car back ill put a ton of pics up of it.. They are all bolted in to the bottom subframe of the car so as if they are floating and not attached to the sides at all... Im so happy my vision of those tanks turned out so good.. |

That's good look! Congrats!
I must say though that the Crawford air oil separator looks a bit... dull..... Some polishing in order perhaps? |

Not a hater but, are there not 35r's making 500 whp on pump??? Not a congrats bro, but personally, i would look at your heads. Do you know what CFM you are ported at or what your lift is??? Cause i think your underported for the turbo and a widen the tappers on the intake manifold and change the front with a bigger throttle body would def. help say atleast 80 mm but would do a Q45 90MM!! Again not bashing, wery nice spool for the turbo on pump!

Did I read it wrong or did you say you're running 26psi on what equates to 89 octane?

Are those 35Rs making 500 whp plus running over 134 mph down the 1/4?? i think not.. The TB is 75mm well more than enough for flow imo... |
