i got 4 cores here sitting for over 2 years.. couldnt get around the fact that i needed a huge heat exchanger... i have a design (on paper) where you integrate the cores into the STi intake manifold, pretty cool but no testing yet..air to air does the job well for us. Do some search on the off road forums, there are guys who are running these already..but they dont reach the speeds we do on hi speed tracks.

He's talking oil-to-water coolers for engine oil, not air-to-water cooler for the intake charge air. No huge heat exchanger needed - it's called the radiator.

I've never used a Laminova personally, but from what I've read they seem to be very effective. Assuming, of course, that your coolant system has the capacity to handle the added heat load.

Why not just use the water lines from the existing oil cooler? I've been thinking about using one for my M3 but, it doesn't really have a natural hookup point like the STI/WRX does. I'd probably have to use the heater lines and have to remove the heater control valve or maybe the throttle body heater circuit might work too.

I dont think it will be cool enough with the OEM cooler setup..

laminova is very tempting but i just cant think of a good enough reason to do the setup..maybe if i was a drag racer
