Dr. ColorChip. Ordered Sunday night. It shipped Wednesday USPS 1st Class and arrived yesterday, from Florida.

It's not bad. It's obviously meant for tiny chips. I could see layering it throughout the week to hide large chunks of missing paint like I have. It only takes a minute to be dry to the touch. The sealant solution takes a minute or two to see results. All in all, for $50 shipped it's much better than dealing with the obvious chips in the paint. My car almost looks and feels 100% brand new now!

Jesus do you tailgate trucks to work everyday? My 07 drives 40 miles on the freeway everyday and I have maybe 2 chips. I consciously stay back from other cars though.

HAHA! Lovin' your Impreza, myrt.

Alaska roads suck. I pass people on the left a LOT, so a lot of my chips are on the passenger side. I've driven the car north and south in Alaska where it can get a little wild. I do tend to follow people closely, though, if I'm stuck behind them. I only do it when I'm confident that I can avoid a sudden stop. I've never been in a collision with others, only snowbanks.

My next car won't be driven as harshly, though, AND it'll have clear bra anyways.

Thanks man! DGM is such a nice color, even if it is one of the more common ones.

No hood deflector or clear bra on yours?

Hood deflectors are no bueno for turbocharged vehicles with hoodscoops. It causes the air to flow up OVER the scoop. Not all of it, but a lot of it. The car won't perform as efficiently. I really wanted it for my 08 Forester Sports XT since I think they help that car to look good.

When I bought the WRX in August of 2010 there was a lot of drama. I didn't have $1k to get the whole front end clear bra'd. With my next car it's definitely getting done, though.

Despite getting compliments on the DGM all the time from people of all types, my next car is going to be black. I had it on my 01 2.5RS and I just loved it. I wash my car all the time anyways and I plan on using the Turtle Wax Black Box kit often to keep the car clean. I'mma OD on this cleaning obsession I'm going to develop, full comatose state.

Ah yes, the age-old question. "Silver or gold?"

Silver wheels compliment the silver metallic flakes in the DGM paint. When I had the 2011 STI Enkei wheels mounted I always got compliments because I think those silver wheels really complimented the DGM.

Gold looks good with the gray paint, though. Kinda like how bronze goes well. There's just an earthiness to the DGM that has appeal, so throwing gold wheels on kind of compliments the color. The biggest issue is that with the WRX sedan we have the chrome on the window trim. Get rid of that and everything should be good.

lol not sure how they landscape highways in AK but in AZ...they decided to use rocks. Needless to say, my front end has taken a beating. I decided not to get a clear bra and to be honest it would not do **** against desert rocks.

I'm leaning tord silver. but I want to paint the stockers (I told my selfe I would NEVER paint my wheels again). and finding a decent silver paint i think is tricky. I do not want a dull silver.. I would LOVE to see some stock 11/12 wheels painted silver (wrx, not sti) to get a better idea if its worth destroying my rims..

I'm trying to decide how dark I want to go with my tints. I always had black cars and I did 20 percent. I'm thinking a lighter tint might look nicer with the DGM. Can you guys throw up a quick post with your car and tint %. I am torn between 35 or 20 percent.
