Yeah, you're probably right. Eventual-lefts reign King Supreme up here.

Dedicated passing only lanes don't exist at all in AK. There is no law that says you can only drive in the left lane to pass.

There is a law that you can't hold up more than 5 vehicles though.

Pooping at work is the best. The boss has to buy the chit tickets plus you get paid to poop and not work! If there's a good catalog in there, I'll just read the whole thing and walk out of there an hour later saying stuff like "holy hell, I ate a chicken sandwhich and fired out a whole damn chicken"... even though I was done the deed in 1.35 mins and read the rest of the time

It may not be law but there are signs on the side of the highway that say 'Slower traffic keep right'.

Yeah, I always thought it was common courtesy, but apparently bikers are exempt due to their fragility.

I like it when it switches in to 2 lanes just before eagle river and you have a Semi in the right lane and some ass hat in the fast lane doing the same speed blocking traffic an hitting his breaks to cause the accordion affect

WGMG - FedEx and their "track shipment" system.

Ordered a package last week, FedEx tracking showed it originally to be delivered "BY 6/11". Package arrived in Anchorage 6/10. Checked yesterday and date to be delivered was still 6/11. No package last night, checked last night and again this morning and delivery date is now "N/A". And still says sitting in Anchorage. WTF?!?!

WGMG is when a simple project turns into a headache.

I'm painting a Bobcat, mainly just touching up the rusty parts. Last night decided to paint the section near the wheels, not much extra work... I thought.

I pulled the inspection plates off since they are a different color, only to find the WHOLE bottom of the machine was packed full of sand, dirt and twigs. The machine came from a company in Georgia so it was that lovely red clay.

I pulled about a wheelbarrow's worth out of it, probably 300lbs.

So the 20 min paint job... 4 hours.

Had that this weekend.. What should've been a "simple" replacement of my Septic Cleanout, turned into a massive excavation and replacement of the main line. Uggh

75% of traffic problems on the Glenn could be solved if AKDOT did three simple things.
  • Three lanes northbound all the way from downtown to the North Eagle River Exit
  • Begin the southbound three lanes at the South Eagle River onramp

Driving in traffic would be better if I got to drive the race car every day. It just makes it more fun than my pathetically slow Forester. And I don't mean driving like a dick, I just mean it's more fun to drive.

I don't *mind* rush hour since its not horrible here but I do find it repulsive when I'm stuck behind someone who is smoking and it fumugates my car.

According to the DOT project list, it's in the works in the next 3-5 years.

Also they are making the Glenn 4 lanes all the way through the end of Palmer. That will be nice, especially during the fair for the folks that don't give a **** about the fair and just want to go home!

Been there. Done that, three times over. BRZ is still my favorite for city driving since it's much easier to open up a "slow car" than a "fast" one. ;-)

Speed is relative. Sometimes I miss surprising more powerful cars at a stop light, but I still surprise people when I reach a bend or corner. It's all about where and how you use it. Not much opportunity for a powerful AWD sedan with piggish understeer to shine. Just my $0.02.

WGMG: People with enough money to buy beer and smokes but run around with tags expired over two years and probably no insurance.

Probably the same people that get their Quest vouchers/food stamp things then hit up the grocery story and buy nothing but junk food.

Had one Carrs cashier the other day tell me how one person came in and spent like $200 or whatever amount(something ridiculous) in Ben & Jerry's w/ his Quest crap.
