So Im guessing my 18x8.5 with offsets of 40-55 would be easy peasy then right? Lol

I want to run a wider tire on my 17x8 +55 stock '15 WRX wheels. I'm torn between 245/45 and 255/40. For either setup I would run 15 or 10mm spacers, respectively. Stock diameter is 25.4, 245/45 is 25.8 and 255/40 is 25. Any suggestions? I'm leaning more towards 255/40 because of the smaller side wall and wider.

245/45 would be a good option. |

Just got my hands on some 18x9 +30 Rota Force wheels with a 245/40/18. Going to test fit and take some pictures. Stay tuned

I spoke to a Tire Rack rep tonight and he told me that they should have a 15 WRX very soon and will be able to measure and scan the car.
They should have some wheel options posted soon for exact fitment. |

^cool!
Question since I'm a newb in many ways lol, if I went staggered....18x8 front and 18x9 rear, would I jack up the handling on the WRX? Presently I'm thinking 18x8.5 all around to keep it safe. Side note, one thing i hate about rim shopping is the lack of details. 9/10 websites do not list the weight of the rims and frankly for me it's not just about a look, I'm trying to cut weight where ever reasonable. |

Rotational mass has an effect, less weight means less energy required to get that mass rotating.
Staggared is only useful for rwd cars to keep unecessary mass off the car, dont do it on awd (the weight difference can also damage ur transmission/diffs). If your worried about unsprung weight, get the lightest wheel possible for the size you want. Enkei rpf01's are quite lite for an 18x9.5" wheel. Other rims are lighter, but price goes up considerably. |

Ok, thanks...got it, no staggered setups! The RPF01's are on my list actually, thanks! 18x8.5 is my goal.

This thread has some useful info in it.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=2155863 The bolt pattern on the 15 wrx is 5x114, but other than that the rest of what Dan says in the first post is good info to know. Keep the offset as high as possible unless you want your steering to suffer. It's also worth noting that tire compound is much more important than size. It's comical to me how many people put on huge rims with cheap tires and end up with less traction, a lot more noise, more tendency for tram lining and hydroplaning while also sacrificing steering. Not what I would consider improvements. I would rather run a better tire and increase grip with less trade offs. |

I would go 18x9.5 38et because that should fit pretty easy but if you want the easy route (8.5), no suspension etc that is ok. The 8.5 face won't be as concave though compared to 9" and up.

Does anyone know if the tpms sensors from the 05+ sti's will work on the 15 wrx?

the 8.5" RPF1 has a convex face. 18x8.5 +40mm is a decent option for a WRX.

The TPMS sensors on the 11's work on the 15's. Use caution with TPMS sensors, they have batteries. They may be dead in 5 years in some cases. |

What do you all think about these?
Konig Oversteer Opal Example on a few cars: They come in: 18x8 45 offset Or 18x9 35 offset I'm not a fan of wheels sticking out of the fender or basically moving to far away from stock offsets so I'm not sure which one would be the best. Why go to 9's over 8? Would fuel economy be hit hard? Will handling be messed up at a 35 offset? Do I really need 9's? While I understand I shouldn't worry about weight, the good thing about these rims is that I can get them for $150 each and they weigh only 19.6-20 pounds. They remind me of those STI rims on the new STI. Buying rims is frustrating because I'm no expert. |

Using willtheyfit.com I think it's best to stay away from 9's and a 35MM offset. I think I answered myself lol.
