I bought this car for $5000 w/104k miles, Manuel, and bone-stock...but it needed a new head-gasket. Other cons of the car was a crack in the front bumper and paint chipping where the license plate goes on the rear bumper. We fixed the head-gasket shortly after if was purchased. I saw the 2.5rX in a magazine after I bought it and I really wanted to make this car look similar. So thats gonna be my main goal(except the 2.5rX seats, I'm guessing they only made those for that car and weren't for sale, so...I'll do something else). This was the first images took of it when I got it on my drive way.

So shortly after getting it, I ended up getting the head gasket fixed and it was good to go!

Short of money after getting it fixed, I wanted it to do some minor things with it to make it look more fitting to me. So I bought a Pink Subaru Emblem for the grill. The guy I bought it from also had the stock gold Subaru rims for it, so for about $50, took it to sears and had them switch out the rims. My friend and I went and took a few pics with his camera and this it what it looked like afterwards...

So after saving a bit of money I bought a helmet for autocross which I ran on Nov.2, 2008 for the first time. Was awesome! I wished I had some pics of it though. And I bought a Blitz Nur-Spec Exhaust for it.

And on the car...

So yeah, By that time Christmas had come...and I ended up getting RA Basic Mud Flaps(gotta have the rally look) and a '99-01 Front bumper skin(unpainted and no fog lights/vents/side lights)...

After getting all the lights, etc. for my bumper, I got the STi Lightweight bumper beam, and while that was being shipped, I had the bumper painted. While that was going on I had a front strut bar put in and put on the mud flaps.

Once it was painted, we had a nice day coming up at the start of Feb. and got it put on...Still got my '98 bumper in the garage, lol. Looked pretty good too with it...I was quite happy with the outcome. I also had bought fog covers too for the bumper.

Bumper turned out real nice...got some shot in from a friend who has a really nice camera...but it was getting late so they arn't as good I hoped...

So after the bumper was installed I found a pretty good deal on an STi Drivers seat for $76+shipping. got it just in time for autocross the day before.

current picture of my engine bay...

and here are a few autoX pics I had from 4/5/09.

I need racing tires and Suspension though...Kinda why you see a lot of body roll in the shots, lol...after the spoiler is done, those will be my main focus.

very nice... get some sway bars w/new endlinks and stiffer springs or coils and you should be golden. Good start.

finished the bondo part of my spoiler...came out real nice in person...idk if it looks so great in the pics, haha, but its smooth and the crack it has filled real nice.

and while I was at it...I thought since I had the 22b spoiler, that it should have the 22b vents...

I plan to get both of them painted during one session. but yeah, thats all thats going on so far with my car...I got my vents for Primitive auto for $90 shipped...the fitment was a bit off when I tried to test fit them, but after kinda widening the holes on the hood with a drill, they fit perfect as well as my stock ones. kind worried that the stock ones wouldn't fit after that, but they did, so I was quite happy.

Thanks! I would love to do an STi swap someday, or year, lol. But for the money it would cost and the amount I make now since I've only got a part time job, I don't see it happening anytime soon If that because to expensive to do, I may just end up trying to turbo it...but I don't know too much about all that yet. I need to start reading about turbos, etc.

I got the same 22b vents and I also had the same issue with them not fitting out of the box. I drilled out the holes a bit wider and got some washers and fitment was great. I painted mine with a spare can of black paint I had since it looked like crap with the white vents on BRP paint scheme. For $50 I recently got some 95H paint and a can of clear coat from paintscratch.com It would be a much cheaper solution to getting the wing and vents painted in a shop, IMO. I still haven't painted them the base color yet.
