Default Kunk's 2011 WRX Limited Journal

This WRX is the first car that I have ever bought that I truly cared about. Normally I just buy my cars and drive them for a bit till I get bored. Within the first 5 miles of this car I realized... I will never get bored. I figured I should keep a journal going so I can look back on how the car has progressed over the coming years. Here is the story:

Modifications include:

Engine/Drivetrain:
- Cobb Accessport Stage 1 OTS Tune
- 3in Invidia Q300 Catback Exhaust
- Kartboy Short Throw Shifter with front and rear bushings

Wheels/Suspension:
- Miro 111 18x9.5 + 40 Offset with Goodyear Eagle F1 265/35/18

Exterior:
- STI Trunk w/ Wing
- JNA Polyurethane front lip
- Perrin super shorty antenna
- Rally Armor urethane mudlaps
- Hella Supertones
- 35% on sides and rear, and 45% on front windshield.

Interior:
- SMY Clustermaker w/ Defi Boost & Oil Pressure Gauge.
- Pioner Avic z130BT with JDM radio bezel.
- All lights switched to LEDs.

Dealer sent me this picture two weeks before I was going to pick it up (I was away for work):

Picked up the car on August 1st, 2011 from Subaru of Beechmont:

New wheels and a quick detail:

Added a front lip:

Switched all the interior lights, plate light, trunk light, and reverse lights into LEDs:

Trunk swapped with a 2011 STI:

Added SMY Clustermaker and Defi Boost and Oil Pressure Gauges:

Where the beast sleeps at night:

Parts awaiting install:
- Cobb SF Intake w/ airbox
- Invidia Catted downpipe
- Process West TMIC

Nice ride man! What size are those wheels, they fill the fenders nicely for stock suspension, never mind, saw the beginning of the thread, hahaha.

Thanks! I did notice a big difference in throttle response. That and the drive just feels overall smoother. I'm excited for my catless dp, and a protune.

Sweet man, how you liking the WRX?

I like my intake but with just the Stage 1+ OTS tune it really doesn't do much except make my car sound like a jet engine when I'm on the pedal. It'll come out when I get protuned.

So I added a front lip onto the car today. I will post pictures after I wash the car sometime this week. I'm also plasti-dipping a few places.

Liking your wheel choice, I noticed the miro 111 is offered in matte black, is that the color you have? Looks rather glossy which I'd actually prefer.

Alrighty so a quick update. These are the following parts that are sitting in my garage awaiting install:

Cobb SRI w/ box
Invidia Catted DP
Process West TMIC
24mm Front / 22mm Rear Whiteline Swaybars
Kartboy front and rear endlinks.

I am really looking forward to slapping all these on at once. It'll be like getting a brand new car.

Have fun with the kartboy end links! You WILL need spacers without a doubt in the front. And the rear end links are so thick they are a pain to install because they are so close to the shocks.

Haha hey dude. Oh yeah I remember that day. That heatshield is still sitting in my garage awaiting install. I did finally get to put in the JDM radio bezel and I still polish the Q300 every time I wash the car. Hopefully Korea is treating you well.

Didn't you mention you had a buddy that has injectors/fuel pump/ewg and such on his 11 WRX. I'm TDY right now but when I get back, I plan on doing a nice little build.
