The Sin' is not in!!!
Those who know me I have been waiting far too long to get this project on the roll so here is a few pics.
Info, BC 2.71L stroker SB with darton sleeves 102mm bore, coated CP pistons in 9.2-1 comp, fluid damper, moroso pan and pickup, ported oil mains through out the block, ported 11mm pump, Dynamicly balanced to 1/10th of a gram on the rotating assy, and many others... Flowtech ported and flowbenched heads, 1mm oversized intake/exhuast valves, MUCH larger seats and HUGE bowls (the seat had to be scalloped because they touch LOL), BC springs and retainers, slippery skirt ceramic coating on the cam guides, BC 272 cams with avcs, ceramic coated valves and combustion chamber along with exhuast ports. ACT heavy duty preasure plate, ACT sprung 6 puck, ACT streetlight fly. And for the hairdrier, a HTA GT3586 with a .82 housing (this is the large 86mm HTA not the common 82mm HTA) Fueling is 2000cc injectors, twin 044's, plus much more. PICS... And my new bad arse shift knob thanks to WC Lathe Werks BLING fo me!!!

You're running the same fuel set up as I am then. Twin 044's feeding the main rails and 2k cc injectors with a walbro feeding a surge tank right?
Did you go with the low impedence Injector Dynamics injectors? That motor appears very well built. Cheers to you and let us know how it turns out. |

Sweet man, congrats! I know what it's like to finish a build that sometimes can take longer than expected.

We overbuilt the fuel system just in case i itched for a larger turbo than the 35R... which has happened. IDC - 70 - 72% at 547 whp on Surgelines dyno with a conservative ( detonation free ) tune. Boost - 27psi max I am running E85 on the car exclusively. Yours should make the same power or more however at less boost i would assume since the 35R will run out of air around here. Hence why I may go with the new 37R to push me over 600whp. I really want a ride when you get done because I think your boost response is going to make me drool due to the larger displacement. I am very jealous at the moment!!!! Waiting patiently for you to complete it |

Frankenboost, My gt35 isnt a ordinary 35R. I had the HTA86mm (big not the smaller HTA82mm) conversion done to it which now lives a 75lb/min wheel instead of the 62-65lb/min wheel (couldnt remember which was stock).
So in retrospect this thing should breath just fine up top, but I think my hold up will be the T31 .82 exhuast housing. I believe most of the gt37's use a t4 housing and breathing out isnt a problem. Hopefully Tim will be tuning it, I may have to find him and wrestle him to the ground to do it, or he will probably just beat me a and walk away. Either way he has only done the best for me with my previous tune so I hope I can wait for him again. LOL Dude probably needs a vacation (I havent talked to him but sounds like he never stops). |

I plan on stopping in to see him in the next week or so due to my work taking me to Portland regularly. Let me know when you plan on getting it tuned as I want to be there to see this thing in action. Then we can go hunting the freeways of Portland for prey. As for your turbine housing I noticed that and breathing for the exhaust will be fantastic. I am just wondering about the ability for the compressor to move air. I am actually running it out of airflow at the top. Last edited by Frankenboost; 05-11-2010 at 06:14 PM. Reason: added info |

It will be nice to see how much if any difference that .21L may make LOL. I do have a question, what engine management did you use?

Thought about stand alones but just isn't worth it to me. Not trying to go for any records. Just wanted to build myself a reliable high HP street car that could pass Time attack track inspection as is. Ha ha =) I am curious as well to see the diff it will make in your whole power curve. You need to keep me posted. PM me and I will give you my phone # so I can come see this beast. I am in Silverdale a couple times a quarter and a trip out there is coming up. Not like it's far or anything. The whole development behind your build is top notch man. |
