My dealer is saying cutoff will likely be sometime in April, My order is going in on the last business day of March....

They are saying 6-8 weeks to get delivery, is this accurate or way off?
It really wouldn't hurt my feelings if it took longer as I could pay a little more down....I just want to be sure I get a 2013

Based on this thread (and my own ETA: "month of June", ordered 1/25) that seems optimistic. There have been some people getting them earlier though so who knows...

The wait isn't killing me yet since I'd like to save up some more cash, but I really hope it doesn't take until June.

Default New 2013 WRX Sti

I'm about to put my order in for a new 2013 Sti. I can't decide what color I want and if I want the limited for the leather, sunroof, and heated seats. My dealership has a Dark Gray Metallic that apparently is still owned by SOA. I am patiently waiting as it is being used for a car show at the end of March here in Richmond VA. My sales man seems to think SOA will release the car once the show is over.

Heated seats are standard base or limited STI.

I'm not trying to pop your bubble but I used to be a tech at a few Honda and Mitsubishi dealerships and whenever we would send a car out to be in display at a car show it always came back beat up. Meaning scratches and dents galore from people leaning up against it and 99% of the time the interior was trashed and stuff broken from people getting in and out and really beating the living he'll out of things. I would be careful buying a display car. Maybe go and check it out in person after the show is over, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was broken and scratched to ****!

I love how you didn't bother to pull over to take the pic.

Also, what's up with your TPM sensor?

If he's anything like me, he has a set of wheels for the winter that don't have TPMS installed, I suffer that little orange light Nov-March every year.

I might have to suffer it for my summer set too; $200 is a lot for a set of TPMS sensors .

Pfft I got skills!!!! haha jk I had the camera ready and stuff all I needed to do was to press that button to take the picture plus street was pretty empty. I wasn't in any real danger or endangered anyone. It took less than 2 seconds.

^ this haha. I don't care about that light as long as I know my tires have the required pressure. And yeah $200 for a set of TPMS is way too much after spending $800 on the wheels and tires.

Ha, I wasn't judging. I have an old pic of my speedometer at 120 from when I was driving up from Santa Barbara to see a girl in SF.

Didn't realize it costs that much. I'd suffer the orange light as well.

Picked up the car, love it....of course. First few initial impressions.

1. Navi- so glad I opted for it. Best 1,000 i ever spent. Love the HD radio and audio functions. Huge upgrade imo from the pre 2012 models.

2. Car feels stronger than the test drive car. Obviously havent WOT redlined yet, but it feels damn good.

3. Love the center arm rest extention option. Should be standard.

4. Glad to have HIDs, i missed them on my last car.

Good luck those of you still waiting.

Also, dealer got a good chuckle out of the fact: I didnt want the plastic to come off before i got there, no detail, no dealer sticker, and no gas fill up. I drove my salesman to the station and he filled it up after the paperwork was done.

They said they have never had a customer ask to leave all the wrap on. Even the wheels were still wrapped when I got there.

Well. I officially graduated from this thread (I know I don't technically until I post proof) but wow. The wait was so worth it. I picked her up with 6 miles on it. It's got almost 100 in just the drive home and going to dinner in it. I haven't gotten it over like 4500 yet but it feels so strong. Can't wait to get this damn break in oil out to drive it without reserve.

What's the closest port to Sacramento, CA that Subaru uses? Oakland, correct? Anyone know the name of the vessel with the latest bunch of cars on it?

Congrats man.

I also love the Navi. In addition to all the features of the Nav, it also is a better stereo than the stock head unit. The lack of bass in the old system was enough to make a grown man cry, not to mention the overall crappy sound. This sounds like a proper stereo though. It's not top of the line by any stretch, but definitely gets the job done.

I wish the STi had the armrest extension, but I do like the center console better than the WRX. The sliding cover over the cup holders makes a perfect spot to leave your phone when driving.

Don't waste the good factory oil until you're recommended to replace it (which is around 3000 miles).

And on the NAV topic I am regretting not getting my car with it. It seems very good and nicer than the standard HU. And I do wish the WRX has that sliding cover for the cup holders like the STi.
