impreza loud inside while at high speed?
I have a 2007 subaru impreza non turbo I recently purchased for my work cruiser. I drive around 100 miles each way almost solely on the turnpike at 65+ mph. I like the car very much but the sound of the air going over the front of the car is overwhelming inside the car. Has anyone else noticed this and or done any testing to see what can be done to improve this? Weather it's extensive sound deadening material in the dash and door areas or some kind of air dam over the wiper cowl area. I installed a set of jl c5 components and jl amp just to realize the drone of air/road noise is so load at speed I'd have to crank the heck out of the stereo to even hear it.

I'm trying to figure out the noise in my 02 wrx. It's a screeching sound coming out of the heater vents. But only at high speeds. Like around 110 or higher.

Don't drive at high speeds, that's your solution. You're forcing air way too fast into the HVAC system.
