Default i need your opinions......quick.

hey guys, i want to get a sub or two for my Rex. now, i was pretty set on buying some Audiobahn 10's, but then i ran across Audiomobile subs. through the end of September, the Audiomobile EVO 12" is $170 shipped. i have a 500 watt class D Memphis amp, and right now i'm leaning towards the Audiomobile sub. www.audiomobileinc.com
you can find the specs on that website. should i go ahead and buy the Audiomobile sub? i just want to get your opinions before i buy. thanks

I haven't had any experience with that brand of subs but from what I can read in the specs they seen like they would work fine. You might want to get a pair of those subs if you do get them ao that you are running the optimal amount of power through each one.

yeah, but i don't have that much money to spend. basically i don't want to spend any more than $170, so i can either get the 2 Audiobahn 10" or the 1 Audiomobile 12". i'm really leaning towards the Audiomobile though, it would take up less room.

Theoretically, all things being equal the 12" sub has about the same cone area as two 10's. Two 10's probably look cooler but they do take up more room as each sub requires, say 1 sqf while one 12 might require 1.5 sqf. I have two 10's but I got a good deal on it so I figured, "what the hell". I do know people who are quite high on the Audiomobile subs. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

The boston pro subs are very nice, but it may sound bad if the box wasn't built right or there's not enough power going to it. Remember, there's more to making a system work than just buying the gear! Good quality install and planning with a cheap system can always beat fancy gear just thrown in a car...
