Since the topics hot. Mind as well buy my air lift suspension the engineering that went into it is above and beyond. Handle great at the track and watch everyone's jaws drop when you park. It has not even 2500 miles on it and willing to basically give it away for free lol.
Here is how my car sits right now. I have the worst luck. I'm about to trade it in and now my clutch is messed up. It still grabs at the bottom, but slips like no other. It's barley even drivable. I might just trade it in with it like that.

look i understand you want to tune it to what you like...but at the end of the day A properly damped/designed suspension, does a lot more then just ride nicely. A damper that can actually control the spring, suck up road irregularities, and control all of the cars motions well, is doing it's job of keeping tire on the ground, rather just flailing around every time a force is introduced to it. Good ride quality is really just an added bonus of a properly working set up.

yes i did, because they are using cheap chinese **** to make a slightly less craptastic product.

multiple friends have went with fortunes or feels only to hate them because they would make noise, or bind, or just not ride well at all. everyone is entitled to their opinion, this is mine. do it once, do it right.
stop making so much sense brahhhhhh

Looking like H&Rs might be the way to go. They got really good reviews and the price is right at $1300. I totally understand what you're saying, do it once do it right. I am in the middle of that and what I can really afford. Again it sounds like the H&R fit both of those standards. Anyone else have these have an opinion of them?

I think anyone that listened to Jive on that argument should ask him out on a date, because clearly they are so infatuated with him they can't see through that bs.

Also Blacks and Konis in 08-10 bodies ftw.

i think Jive is stupid.

HOWEVER...ISC, BC, Feal, Fortune all are produced and manufactured in the same factory in CHINA! they all take springs out of a random box and throw em on. if you upgrade to swifts you definitely improve the ride, but they all the dampening is garbage.

if you are looking into "budget" coilovers look to H&R, Eibach, or KWs. i agree you don't need the adjustment. i tracked my KW V3s many times, never adjusted anything on them ever, same with my ISCs. adjustment is really for getting it set and leaving it as is. if you want adjustment then look into KW V3s, AST4100s, or something higher end.

spending less than 2k on coilovers and expecting that you're going to get great ride, adjustment, good track performance and quality out of them is just flat ridiculous IMO. its like the old saying...cheap, fast, reliable - pick two, can't have all 3.

KW V1. Honestly if they weren't making all sorts of crazy noises I'd be OK with them, even if they don't handle all that great.

Have you talked to them at KW? I highly doubt they are supposed to make noises.

Well... I already got rid of the candy red on my SPT exhaust... lol! I also changed my mind on doing my xxr 518's in candy red. Instead, I went ahead and purchased some Miro 18x9.5 +34 flat black wheels. Anyways, back to my exhaust... I had it re-powder coated a textured satin black. So in other words, I'm staying with a black and white theme.

I also picked up:
Hankook 265/35-18 Ventus v12's
57.1 to 56.1 hub centric rings for my Miro 398's
Kartboy 12mm hangers
Muteki SR48 wheel locks (titanium finish)
Muteki SR48 lugs (titanium finish) A side note... I did the old "coat the inside/outside of the socket with blue tape" to protect the lugs, and it worked like a charm!

I've been there. They take each set of suspension and adjust the valving as needed per spring rate in house on every set that is custom ordered.

Perhaps the OTS 500's might be close to what you have experience with, but I wouldn't make conclusions based on one item.

I've never seen an ISC,BC,Feal stack up to this.

And to tickle your brain even more for those who want performance, low and not to be racing on air.

Are you sure you installed the top hats correctly? I fixed a buddies kWs who did not install the top hats correctly and started making a clunking noise

SMY Alcantara covered cluster with Prosport EVO gauges. I also have an AEM wideband AFR that I will be putting in the SolidModifications vent pod.

I heard the quality wasn't very top notch, but the piece looks great in person and has a WRX logo stitched in. I got a killer deal on it since it was already 10% off during a sale and I had another 10% coupon and the WRX logo was free since it took longer than expected.

Alright guys so here is my question since I'm trying to go for the most comfortable ride in my daily driven WRX. KW V1 coilovers or Koni Yellows + Epic springs (which I currently have on my pretty broken stock struts)

Wish I could afford air but.... I don't think I can shell out that kind of cash.

So KW or Koni? Or any other suggestions? This is for a car that is 99% going to be used for just driving to work and school so I don't need something with 30+ adjustable things.

Yup. If they aren't "seated" correctly, they'll clunk. Or if they need a rebuild like I think he alluded to.

XXR's, Miro's...all knockoffs anyway...what's the diff?

Haven't heard to many good things about epics but I would still probably take those with the yellows compared to coilivers. I had fortune autos on for about two weeks and the I pulled the back off. I don't think it was an issue necessarily with fa's quality though. I don't see myself liking any coilivers really, although the coil bind on my fa's was atrocious. I think I'll be adding the koni inserts onto my swift sport springs later and that should be perfect for my taste.

It's a shame these guys are spilling uninformed rhetoric, because I know a lot of members respect and look up to them.

Look at RCE Black springs instead of the Epics. RCE Black paired with Koni Yellow in 08-10 front donor struts has a nice ride height and drives fantastic. There is reduced body roll and most importantly the damping is greatly improved over stock. It is not excessively stiff, it simply drives great.

I'm in between the KW v3's right now and Air Lift suspension.

Bestthaticoulddo, what do you suggest? Car is daily driven, no auto x, might see some track days at the strip.
