Default how to remove front seat-air bag clip

I need to clean my seat on my passenger side for certain reasons. I searched a bit but didnt find much. I cannot pull apart the air bag clip for the wires under the seat. Anyone have any tricks to this. I assume I have to push the grean thing up and then just pull it apart, but that hasnt worked yet.

ok, i didnt get the clip, but i just unbolted the backrest from the bottom cushion. Anyways, I think screwing around with the clip I broke it. My airbag light is now on. Can I just get a diffrent connection for it, cut out the special clip, and not worry about it? Nothing is going to be messing up my car with the air bag light on. I doubt it, but making sure.

no the wires didnt snap. I think the clip is just messed up that it wont keep a connection. But, the light still wouldnt go off if i was pushing the clip tight together. It may be that since my seat was unbolted it wasnt getting a ground? but I doubt it. Ill bolt it back together in a few days after I clean the cover, let it dry, and make sure its clean. If it still doesntt go off ill replace the clip and just wire a differant connection in.

just take and clip the ends of the clip off and buy a bullet connector that you can easily plug/unplug..it will work just like the oem plug and your light will go off.

oh well, car is back together and everythign is clean. My clip has to be broke, might have been my fault messing with it and breaking something. Ive taken a lot of electrical clips off my sleds, cars, etc, i cant understand why this one wouldnt go.

I can push it together now to where the air bag light will stay off, if the little wire gets pulled a bit im sure the light will just come back on. Next time this happens ill take the few minutes to cut the wires, solder and shrinkwrap some new connections on, and call it good.

Thanks for the help all
