Default TV/Internet/Phone service

TV/Internet/Phone service

Who has what. I'm shopping around tonight and tomorrow. Anyone here work for anyone? I'd rather go thru a SWIC member.

I'm in Anthem. C0cks is painfully slow to me. They advertise speeds slower then my 4g phone. And in the Bay area I was upwards of 65mbps on download and upload.

I'd love to get DirectTV out here but they have that stupid two year contract. And once again to get anything close to DirectTV thru C0cks is like twice as much money.

Centrylink said they do not service my area.

Man, i'm from the bay too, and I use to get great internet, 50 up and down for real cheap. I get 55 down and like 10up here with cox, I feel like i'm being monopolized here in phoenix!

I think you're SOL, 20-30mpbs isn't fast enough for you?

65mpbs upload?

They have a 62mbps service? I was one of the few people that had a DOCSIS 3.0 early and was getting 50-60mbps on speedtest.net until they capped it.

Well it's that it is so expensive out here! $90 a month for 55mbps service. And quest isn't really comparable in speed.

Its really slow out here when you start using netflix and stuff. Those caps are easy to find and remove BTW. Plus when you are used to those speeds.... its painful to go backwards. Hell my 4g vzn service is years faster then c0cks.

And yeah in the bay area with all the new fiber optic stuff, Its smoking fast. They have to be as they are pushing all the cloud network stuff out there.

maybe someone at cox can help him out, they got a $69.99 special for 6 months, you could get that for now.

Or you could just stop downloading ultra pron.

Everything uses the internet wifi now. My iphone, my roommates iphones, laptop, 2 desktops. 2 XBOX's, 1 ps3, my main TV, and I've even heard you can get a wifi Refrigerator!

You can browse SWIC Classifieds while getting a glass of water! Brilliant!

I used to work for Cox and my tech number is still active. I can see what I can get you if you'd like.

Depending on where you live and who is active on your tap, you can pull 90+. I've been in done ghetto areas where none had service but like two people and they were pulling ridiculous speeds.

I used to work for cox as well. As far as internet goes, cox is the best you are going to get in az. but cable and phone arent very good in price or quality

lol I just moved from eastern NC last year and was getting like 16 and paying in the $70's i think for internet only. We have one of the lower plans here with Cox and it's just fine, I run WoW with excellent latency and have ran some 25 man raids with no problems, also, reliability is MUCH better than Time Warner. My modem/router needs to be reset maybe once every 6 weeks or so. Sounds like you guys were just spoiled in CA.

I'm getting decently fast service from Cox on their mid-range plan (18 Mbps). Sometimes it exceeds their advertised speeds. Not bad for $55 a month. Then again, I'm in the center of Chandler. Perhaps their infrastructure is better here? It was still very reliable and fast when I lived out in San Tan Valley though too. I never needed phone or cable so I never really had those services. I refuse to sign a contract so Direct is out. Cox usually tests about the same as my full VZW 4g coverage at my house.

I ended up with C0cks. The house is prewired for cat5 so we shall see. If not I'm going to ditch them and use my 4g phone with my unlimited data plan.
I'm already at 5gb of data this month.
