Default Argh. Acne cysts...any way to get them to go away quicker?

I usually have almost perfectly clear skin, but for some reason out of the blue, I've developed a huge lump on my jaw, and it's spawned a friend about an inch below on my neck in the last several days. They got up to about the size of my fingertip. eew.

I haven't messed with them/poked/squeezed/lanced them, but I have been keeping hot compresses on them whenever possible, and keeping neosporin over the area so nothing spreads...

But the right side of my jaw line and neck are so swollen it looks like I have a red double chin on that side...the swelling has gone down some, but there's the afforementioned "chin" and the fact that I can feel the fluid in my jaw quaking whenever I walk. eech.

Is there any way to make these things go away quicker before the end of the weekend? I can't sit through another meeting with clients while half my face is oozing fluid...

Keflex, its a general purpose(but strong) oral antibiotic. Its not meant to treat acne, but I had to take it when I had a small staph infection from a road bike crash and it wiped out all acne fast.

Well, the only quick way to get rid of it is to go to doc and get a steroid injection. It works wonders.

Don't pick or pop it, it will make it much worse. Home remedies don't work too well. You can try ice on it, but it may not help.

BTW, if you get an Rx for a anti bacterial scrub and use retin-a micro these cysts almost never appear. Both require an Rx from a doc, though.

Oh, the oral antibiotics work well, too.

Ok so honestly I have had these before, a good way is to go out and get some stridex from your local supermarket or drug store. benzoyl peroxide is even better, try to get 10% if you can.
