wheel offset???
Anyone know the offset for rims on the SVX? I've been looking around for that info but no one seems to have it listed (unless I can't read).
Thanks, -kastle

Sorry, can't help you here. 53mm comes to mind. Or was it 46mm...

To my knowledge the offset of our SVX rims is 55+. I heard of people getting away with less than 50+ but I wouldn't personally push my luck by going that route. We already have rear bearing problems.....I wouldn't want to stray too far from the factory set-up and possibly induce more problems further down tha road.
B.C. P.S. The Imprezas run on 50+ rims don't they? I've read were even they have problems finding rims that will fit correctly. |

Very interesting. I was surfing over at Tires.com (run by Discount Tire) and they were suggesting that +40's would fit a MY92 SVX. I almost wet myself. I was under the impression that our offset was much larger than that.

Will fit != should fit.
Based upon my experience Tire Racks' fitment tables were built with maximum coverage in mind first, then with maximum accuracy for the major sellers second. They took a list of all cars sold in the USA, then filled in actual offsets where they had them, and guesstimated where they did not. I'm certain they have the correct offset for most any Ford or Honda. I doubt that they have the correct offsets for a relitavely unknown car of which only 12,000 were sold in North America, or other rare cars such as the Celica All-Trac, Mazda 323GX, Yugo, or BMW Vixen (mobile home). |

I believe the offset for the factory rims are 52mm.
